3h30 is one of your longest delays ?? My longest delay was with american and took around 2 days... 2 missed connexions but thanks to the friendly gate agent at PHL (my connextion airport), we were seated at the last minute in a plane (IT WAS THE US AIRWAYS HERITAGE LIVERY !!)

I travel to Bangkok twice a year. I always fly Emirates Business Class between Washington Dulles and Bangkok, with a stop in Dubai. Its a much more pleasurable experience when you get out of the Riff-Raff section.

Ooohhh what a coincidence I had a connecting flight this exact day to MUC from TLS. The weather was very snowy and my connection to ATH was 6 hours long from T2 Satellite with LH. After visitting the Besucherterrasse I went to K gates and the flight was to depart at 21.50 but finally after waiting for more than 1h30m (while the airplane was outside the crew wasn't and due to the delays of the evening + deicing while waiting 1h15m inside the plane) we left at 00.20. But above all MUC is my favourite airport!! Nice tripreport the A380 is awesome!!

Emirates is the most luxurious, safest and largest International Airline in the world. The food is awesome and the seats and legrooms are so comfortable. The cabin crew is very helpful, caring and friendly to the passengers.

I recently took this exact same trip, economy as well. Heres how I see it: The plane is obviously a bomb. The cabin is very airy and roomy, the sprinkly star headliner is a nice touch. In the air there is exactly no difference to sitting in your living room with completely no sensation of anything happening. There is no noise and no vibration or movement whatsoever. Truly a masterpiece. The food was IMO a lot above average for Economy, good product and preparation quality. There was a (relatively) abundant choice of drinks out of which I can mostly recommend the juices. The crew/service was OK - professional, but not much more, which I can understand as there simply is only so much you can do with 500 pax on board on a 6 hour flight. The IFE was quite good, even though I must add that Emirates also operates A380s with an older, not updated, IFE which is definitely a minus (content is identical though). Toilets are abundant in number and generously sized, nicely designed and finished and also offering good amenities. The one and in my view grave letdown is the seating. I dont know what company supplies those seats, but they need to do a better job. They are hard and I actually mean rock hard. Even on this shorter long-haul flight they are unacceptable. Yes, its Economy, but a little bit of padding is not going to break the bank of any airline that can afford a high-end widebody. Most narrowbodies on domestic service (i.e. cheap short/super-short-haul flights) offer softer and more comfortable seats. I had to semi-fix this by stacking 3 (!) sets of blankets on the seat. Also I still maintain that 10 abreast seating is silly, even on the A380. In the case of only men sitting next to each other, the width is a major issue and escalates even further when trying to eat at the same time, which is not really possible. I imagine that maybe ladies (softer "lower back" and slimmer shoulders) and shorter and lighter guys would see this a little bit less critically, but at 6' and 250 lbs Im above average but not exactly the Hulk either. Oh, and due to its position, the separate cupholder is useless, but hey :D However, I would still recommend this product. At least to try it. If its OK for you, then you will enjoy the confidence of flying with an airline that doesnt cut corners past your safety. Also, because they have so many A380s, you can get a consistent experience as they fly those to pretty much everywhere, which might be useful when travelling a lot (the "I cannot sleep in beds other than mine"-syndrome). I think I would choose this product again, but not for longer flights than 5-6 hours, due to the discomfort of the seating.

I flew quite frequent with Etihad and there are major differences between Etihad and Emirates. 1)Etihad flies with a smaller aircraft from Düssedorf for example like the A332 while Emirates uses the A380 2)There is no menu on Etihad so at the end of the day the flight crews had to memorise what will be served and also their contents 3)There is no such thing as a free 2 hour wifi onboard with Etihad.You have to pay My opinion is that Emirates is better than Etihad Btw did you made it to your next flight?

The cost of seat reservation is depending on the fare you‘ve booked. E.g. if you‘ve booked the fare „choice“ on Etihad you have to pay for seat reservation if you‘ve booked the fare choice plus or flex you do not have to pay for it.
