✈ Trip report | European air charter MD82 | The last MD80 operator in Europe | Burgas - Leipzig ✈

Join me as I fly on European air charters MD82. This is the first time I have flown on the MD92 since 2017, I was really excited.
I love flying on old and rare planes and when I found out the European air charter were once again flying their MD80s this summer I had to book on one of their flights. I love the sound of the engines, for an old aircraft its in really good condition and well looked after.
the flights can be booked via sky scanner and they show up, i paid £50 for this flight which was really good value. The only downside is that you cannot check in online so you have to wait in the airport for this.
I have to say I really enjoyed boarding via the stairs in the tail of the aircraft, it was a first for me!

Wow awesome trip report! such a classic aircraft!, I really want to do fly this aircraft myself and I was wondering how you managed to get such a good window seat? I've heard that in order to reserve a seat you need a German bank account did you get lucky at check in or is there another way to reserve a specific seat? :)

I had heard the same but when I did it, it worked perfect no issues paying to reserve the seat!

From what I read they are getting rid of them after this summer, but a friend of mine works for them and he said they say that every year and they are still flying, but he thinks they’ll keep them at least for next year toon
