As a long time viewer I should have known that a 30 minute video would be a trip with a transfer. I loved the night flight, the city lights from above. The AF B777 first class was also something special to see.

I was on an AF 777 in 29J. Its the 2nd row of economy. The first row of economy has only 2 seats, so I had nothing in front of me. I was able to stretch out my legs completely for the whole 8-hour flight. 29C has the same.

@@Alex_BF i agree considering how long BA have had their current livery I wonder when it will be changed? I just hope they don't go down the white fuselage route with insignia on the tail, there was only one BA aircraft that deserved that livery CONCORDE.

Wow, that take off out of jhb was extremely long, at one stage I thought the plane would never get airborne. I think it's due to the high altitude that jhb airport is situated

Raro que los Alpes estén poco cubiertos de nieve... No sé, se supone que en esta época deben estar bastantes nevados. Por otro lado, siempre es un placer ver un parque eólico en Europa; en Colombia, estamos demasiado atrasados en esos temas, solamente hay una parte donde hay un parque eólico y es en un pequeño lugar al norte de la Península de La Guajira. I flew twice with AF A320 CDG-GVA flight time 45 min. Full dinner was served ham sandwich, quiche lorraine rolls with butter and desert wine was included also tea and coffee. 2nd flight FCO-CDG fligjt time 2hrs Airbus A321 again full catering with fish, potatoe, tomato and zuccini salad with rolls and butter and a desert. Soft drinks wine, coffee tea waa included. Both time very friendy crew and excellent service

Now it's my turn. I've flown with Air France and it was soo good. It was a flight from Dakar(GOBD/DSS) to Paris(LFPG/CDG) onboard the majestuous 777. It was soo good that I was disappointed when I came back in France. As for me, Air France is the best airline i've ever flew on.

Somehow times are not matching in the map app. You went to sleep at 9:32 and screen shows 3184 miles left to destination 6 hrs to destination. Then after 5hrs of sleep at 9:56 - there is 3:11 hrs to destination and 1490 miles left to fly. All this on a 10.5 hrs flight. I guess somehow you inserted these screens from a different time when they ocurred or you slept much less 😀

I really like seeing how all the passengers on this flight remained seated instead of getting up suddenly to get their personal belongings. This is something that does not happen on Spanish airlines. For some odd reason everyone decides to stand up before the seatbelt sign is turned off. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks.

Thanks for the video. Well, KLM is the only European airline that leaves Amsterdam (outbound flight) in the morning (11am) and get Joburg at 21pm and leaves for the inbound flight to Amsterdam 2hours later.

Breakfast catering is very poor - the cost cutting is apparent. No proper full breakfast and instead cheap takeout box with sandwich. They used to hand a proper 2nd meal. It might be sufficient for your flight but AF does this even on their 14 hour flights to SIN, Tokyo, etc which in my opinion is very poor. Catering on a 14 hour flight needs a proper 2nd meal. A cheap sandwich wont cut it no matter how you argue it that’s just pure cost cutting from management.

I agree with you... it's not enough at all... At least, they didn't cut it as much as Austrian Airlines ans SWISS, which only offer a 62 grams muffin as breakfast...

Pensar que si South African Airways hubiera apostado por los Boeing 777 en lugar de los Airbus 340, quizas no se hubiera declarado en bancarrota, debido a que los 777 son mas eficientes que los 340. Air France, siendo la aerolinea de bandera de un pais tan nacionalista como Francia, aposto mas por Boeing que por Airbus (que es en parte una empresa francesa) en aviones de largo alcance.

Claramente, las aerolíneas que apostaron por aviones de 4 motores (a excepcion de Emirates con el A380 y LH con el 747-8i) no tomaron la mejor decicison...

@@OnBoardHD South African Aiways tampoco se intereso en el Boeing 787, aunque si en los Airbus 330 y 350, si bien este ultimo modelo duro muy poco en su flota, debido a la pandemia y la bancarrota de la compañia. Se acordaron muy tarde en reemplazar sus A340 por aviones mas eficientes, y lo pagaron caro.
