TRIP REPORT | Frontier Airlines - A320neo - Islip (ISP) to Tampa (TPA) Economy

Welcome to another trip report!
On November 22, I flew Frontier Airlines down to Florida from Long Island MacArthur Airport. Frontier Airlines is an American ultra-low-cost carrier headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The eighth-largest commercial airline in the US, Frontier Airlines operates flights to over 100 destinations throughout the United States and 30 international destinations and employs more than 3,000 people.

My Wife and I flew on them 2 weeks ago to Florida, don't waste your time, they offer only water on their planes and there's practically no leg space, they charge 100 dollars for carry-on. Next time we're using JetBlue or Southwest. They at least give you a cup of coffee.

Great views on take off !! Plane looks pretty good!! Possibly the smallest tray tables I have ever seen on ANY aircraft after many years of flying !! Nice views on landing as well !! Reasonable flight on an LCC...but I agree the food and drinks are too expensive...best to eat and drink before boarding. Well done again mate and I look forward to your next adventure !!

@Blue collar Silver dollar JetBlue is really great but they dont have the nonstops frontier does and you can fly insanely cheap if your dates are somewhat flexible. P.S. dont be a dick

Nice video ☺️ It’s interesting to see what LCCs offer. You get what you pay for. For me it’s totally okay as I’m young and always try to travel cheap. However I’m sure there are older people who prefer the american main carriers

A great report mate, looked like an enjoyable trip. I had never heard of Islip until today! I've been a fan of Frontier for a very long time, maybe it was those adverts that did it for me. I really like how they have the animal by the boarding door too, little things like that :)

In 2012 Frontier came to my hometown of Trenton, NJ and they have been successful out of New Jersey's capital city as they fly to almost twenty different destinations. (Nine year round destinations, and seven seasonal destinations with Orlando being it's most popular destination). In May as a American Airlines loyal flyer I am using Frontier for the first time from Trenton to Orlando as it was cheaper and I only live fifteen minutes from Trenton Mercer Airport.

We have a similar situation up here at Stewart Airport in the Hudson Valley. Many airlines started service, but most pulled out, leaving only JetBlue, Allegiant, American Eagle, and Delta Connection. It’s a booming area, but most people would rather trek to Newark for cheaper fares and nonstop flights.

Yep Everything is Paid for nothing free on Frontier from Water, to soda to snacks and box meals. So if your hungry during the flight you better arrive early and do some shopping from snacks, drinka Have an early morning flight considered stopping by what ever open in the terminal Mcdonalds, dunk donuits, chick fil a, etc.

@@andreworiez8920 Ohh I see. Are you not allowed to sit exit row? Just curious. One time american separated me and my girlfriend, and the exit row had the only two seats left next to each other. The woman at the gate gave us those seats, saying she put in the computer that we were handicapped so it would be no charge. This was an ERJ-145 though. It seems on larger aircraft you have to be able to operate the door in an emergency.

Looks like American Ryanair. I do not understand why they couldn't add local Wi-Fi for IFE. I'm not an expert, but it seems to me that it doesn't cost an arm and leg in aircraft scale.

Bare bones in all respects. Hopefully the ticket price reflected that! Three bucks for a drink of water is a bit much - at least they should give you water for free! The only thing they missed was having a pay toilet.

I agree Quintin, after being nickled and dimed for everything is probably is better to use an airline where that doesn't happen. If I travel budget flights it is ALWAYS on Southwest. Frontier used to be an excellent airline until they went to the dark side. $2.99 for a soda is ridiculous even if it is in the sky !

if you are flying to omaha id recommend southwest airlines which is my favorite or if you want to fly on maddogs before they are retired delta airlines md 88s or md 90s quintin maybe fly delta from omaha to atlanta or atlanta to omaha or fly chicago midway to omaha on southwest then omaha to atlanta on delta or vice versa

As you know, MacArthur Airport doesn’t fly out of USA. These airport is for Long Island natives. People doesn’t want to drive either go to LGA and/or JFK airports. It’s further than you drive to MacArthur from location. Frontier is an discount airlines. Frontier fly to the smallest to largest airports in USA. Great discount for Frontier!!! Frontier only have all-Airbus aircrafts. I don’t think Frontier will not order any aircrafts from Boeing.
