I’ve been flying Singapore Airlines for many years as my main carrier, but it was only about a few weeks ago where I tried Cathay Pacific for the first time from Singapore to Hong Kong (and back) and I can say that Cathay Pacific is honestly far superior in terms of Economy class compared to Singapore Airlines, and is vastly underrated. I think a lot of the travel award reviewers fly business class when reviewing the airlines so Economy class gets overlooked a lot. I was surprised and how much better Cathay Pacific was compared to Singapore Airlines, like it had a MUCH better IFE (more movies, more games, flight map is actually really good, AND IT HAS EXTERNAL CAMERAS!!!!), seat is much more spacious and has more storage space, and the food was so much better! I’ve had better food on my 2 flights with Cathay than I’ve ever had with Singapore Airlines, and now I realize how much Singapore Airlines is honestly lacking. I would DEFINITELY choose Cathay Pacific as my main carrier now and will go on more flights with them. Also, the prices are much cheaper compared to Singapore Airlines! ❤

Oh yes Cathay's Airbus A350 has really excellent features including those onboard cameras, food is definitely better and I appreciate the paper menu. If only they have free wifi though...that will be perect.

@@dexplorer_vids Yes, I agree with all your points, especially on the WiFi which I would also LOVE if they made it free like Singapore Airlines. Also, when I went on both my Cathay Pacific flights, I was not able to find any sort of menu (paper or on the free web portal) on the plane or even before the flight which was a slight bummer, and it was only right as the food cart was serving me where they told me the food options. The food was great, however me personally I would just like to have a glance at the menu beforehand .

actually everyone is only focusing SQ first class on IG and YT. If someone took CX business class and SQ business class long enough, many of them will prefer CX instead. CX business class looks "boring" but indeed, it offers much better comfort than those in SQ. Those are the stuff that cannot describe via IG or YT.

My favorite airline. CX ❤

CX really hurt more than other carriers thru the pandemic, so it’s great to see them back in style.

Nice A350 operator, but as a Singaporean, I had chosen to not consider CX as my favorite A350 operator anymore in favor of other a350 operators including Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa and Qantas.

Oh Qantas has the A350 in service now? Can't wait!

Great video. How was the customer service and seat comfort? Were they strict with the baggage weight
@dexplorer_vidsАй бұрын
Customer service on board was good, just that they're a little raw (fresh) as they're probably new hires. Also at the counter they were friendly. They didn't bother checking my backpack...

Any tips on making a long haul flight 12 hour plus bearable in economy because in December I'm flying with singapore airlines from lgw to hkt via singapore on there a350
@dexplorer_vidsАй бұрын
Ah Singapore Airlines! You could try these: 1. Pay for an extra legroom seats at Row 41 (if you can) 2. Check-in 48 hours in advance to select free seats (if you've not paid for any) and to spend less time at LGW 3. They'll probably give you a hot towel to refresh yourself before leaving LGW 4. Coathooks are available in case you need to leave your coat somewhere 5. Pillows and blankets are given to passengers, you can request for amenity kits and dental kits 6. Bring your own headphones for the entertainment system cos theirs really aren't good. 7. Wifi is free onboard so you can use it as much as you want - you need to be a Krisflyer member though. 8. Feel free to ask for water/drinks and snacks throughout the flight - the service is what this airline is known for 9. While you can't preselect meals in economy you can preview them on inflightmenu.singaporeair.com 10. If you want a more substantial meal you could try prebooking a Kosher meal (at least 48 hours before the flight) Check out my other reviews on Singapore Airlines if you're interested. Or the Kosher meal (what it's like). Singapore Airlines from Copenhagen: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWPJmaaXetmBlZY Kosher meal (SQ uses these guys): kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYrRfWedmK6reck or justified.nuslawclub.com/elevating-my-airline-dining-experience-through-the-jewish-kosher-meal/ Hope that helps!
