TRIP REPORT:MALAYSIA AIRLINES AIRBUS A350-900 BUSINESS CLASS REVIEW, LONDON HEATHROW TO KUALA LUMPUR

I recently flew from London to Kuala Lumpur before heading Down Under to Australia and New Zealand. I flew with Malaysia Airlines and, because it's such a long way from the UK, I treated myself to Business Class seats. Malaysia Airlines have REALLY competitive fares in their business class - London to Kuala Lumpur is around £3.2k/$3.9k return which isn't bad for such a long journey. I flew in an airbus A350-900 from London Heathrow airport to Kuala Lumpur and this Trip Report is a review of that 14-hour flight. I look at the seat, the service (even the CAPTAIN came to greet me!), the storage space and the amenities. The pillow/blanket etc. are all oversized and the amenity kit is a really upmarket brand - Aspinal of London with high end beauty products by French label Payot inside. I also look at the food and drink - unique to Malaysia Airlines is a signature non-alcoholic hibiscus and lychee cocktail as well as Malaysian Satay with peanut sauce. Their wine, champagne and beer is also good with a whole drinks menu called Cellar. I also look at (and model!) the pyjamas they give out for night flights as well as the legroom and the bed itself. Another thing I REALLY like about Malaysia Airlines is it's 'Dine Anytime' offering - there's a really good selection of noodle soups and cheese plates/sandwiches etc. which you can order at any time. This video also briefly touches upon Malaysia Airline's flagship premium lounge In Kuala Lumpur airport.
I was VERY impressed with Malaysia Airlines and would fly with them again extremely happily!

So good to see them getting back to their award winning ways. I really rate Malaysia Airlines. Crew and service was top notch and uniform the nicest in the sky. Was way better than my Qatar experience. Great review 👍

Malaysia Airlines service is the best and u could feel the honestly in serving and they dont look like working hard to winning an award. Its all from the heart and so pure. This is the actual award winning services

I really like MH . We have flown with them a few times and always felt their level of service and experience to exceed our expectations . Good to see a Barossa Red on the wine list . Our daugher lives nearby the Barossa , so we are a little biased I suppose 😃. Happy travelling Jo 🫡🫡

I really like MH too - it really DID exceed my expectations. Ooh, now I feel bad about having the New Zealand wine instead of the Barossa - but it was only because I was headed to NZ and wanted a taste of the place. Next time I'll try the Barossa!! Happy Travelling David!

so relaxing....seems to be a very relaxing flightwith the Malaysian Airline .....and the meals are delicious not to mention the French wines or Champaign.......the service is very pleasant as well.....but now I will return to my simple breakfast in Formosa.......thanks Jo.... happy traveling

I think it's 3 hours before...I was annoyed because at Auckland Airport (not Heathrow I know) they had sent us an email to tell us to arrive 4 hours early to avoid check in problems, but the desk didn't open until 3 hours before. I was standing in line needlessly for an hour...grrrrr....so I wouldn't bother getting there until 3 hours before, to avoid any such issues...

You're so right - I had unlimited access to excellent food and drink for 14 hours - JUST like a cruise. Although on a cruise I'd probably have to pay extra for the alcohol!!!
