No IFE? the narrower seat compromise comfort, even worse than Air Asia for a full service carrier. MAS should go for A320/321neo and learn from Starlux Airlines how to be a quality full service carrier. ☹

Starlux is truly a fantastic airline. The interior design, seat comfort, food variety and taste, and entertainment are even better than Singapore Airlines. In my opinion, MAS is far behind. When I see the curtain divider flying upward and backward, I can't stop laughing.

Agree with you, this is very disappointing. I would pick their B737-800 over the B737MAX, as the older aircraft still have an IFE and better seats

7:45, Same when I flew Alaska, Boeing 737-900ER from Honolulu to San Francisco last month, this time flying in premium economy for the 1st time, the seat is good and okay on a 4 and a half hour flight to San Francisco, but the seat width is too narrow, almost cramped, I don't have enough shoulder room to share with my seatmate, I feel almost uncomfortable, but okay, and Southwest, Boeing 737 Max 8 from San Jose to Honolulu also last month (1 week later), this time I flew in economy class, the seat is good and okay on a 5 hour flight to Honolulu, but again, the seat width is almost too narrow, I almost don't have enough shoulder room to share with my seatmate, I feel a little uncomfortable, but okay, although I slept 2 hours on the plane.

This is a problem with new airplane cabins, the seats are very narrow even on big planes like b787 and a350, this is definitely to reduce weight.

IFE not working despite the plane being less than 1 year old is very embarrassing. I hope you enjoyed the flight nonetheless..

There were some passengers who were not satisfied with the fact that the IFE did not work, the flight crew tried to restart the system, but it still did not work. It didn't bother me personally because I was shooting a video and I was interested to see the cabin of the aircraft since this was my first time on a Malaysia Airlines 737 MAX.I recently flew a Malaysian B737-800 with the new cabin and the IFE worked for this aircraft.

5:52, What, again no welcome from the crew? That's so weird, even on a full service airline like Malaysia, no welcome from the crew after entering the plane. Normally, the crew welcome us to the plane, but it's not the case on Lufthansa and Malaysia, unless busy, it's a little weird.

Is your flight to Kuala Lumpur 75% full, do you remember how much you pay to fly Malaysia airlines, how's passport control for entering and revisiting Kuala Lumpur, is it a little stressful because the queue is a little long and short staff again and how many days you stay in Kuala Lumpur and enjoy your revisit?

The flight cost around $100. The flight was full, only a few seats were available. The passport check took about 10 minutes. there were enough employees and the queues were not long either. I spent 3 days in KL and I am always happy to come back to Malaysia.
