You wouldn’t think that was Iraq main airport In Baghdad with what been happening there over the years. But it’s good to see and hopefully peace lasts. Also good to see how Iraqi Airways is doing what with recent Dreamliner delivered. Be good to see them flying back to Gatwick airport one day.

I had fish and chips in business class on an Iraqi Airways B737-200 from Baghdad to Damascus in 2010. Quite memorable, as that aircraft was hard to catch at the time and it just happened to be operating the afternoon I was supposed to be leaving Baghdad. Naturally I changed my plans to get on that!
