I didn’t know Hawkers could do no flaps takeoff...fascinating!
@jakesimpson6365 Жыл бұрын
Most of the 900s we do no flap takeoffs unless it's a shorter field. Even then, depending on the weight and atmospheric conditions a lot of the time the no flap takeoff performance is better. The older Hawkers will use flaps 15 for takeoff since they have less powerful engines

Quintin - Nice catch on the Global 7000. Right place at the right time plus you knowing the significance of that specific jet. I enjoy the portions of your videos that focus on the interior details. In a previous life (10+ years ago), I flew on different models of biz jets many times, which makes me interested in seeing brands & models that I have never been on, such as this Hawker.

Nice Aircraft the 900XP, the design goes back to 1961 the first model was the De Havilland DH125 but the production model was called the Hawker Siddeley HS125 first customer took delivery in 1964 it became the BAe125 in 1977. The Royal Air force had 20 called the Dominie T1 used as a Navigation trainer, early models used the Viper turbojet engine (very noisy) later models -700 used the Honeywell TFE731-3 series the dash 800/800XP/850XP/900XP used the -5 engine the 1000 series used the P&W PW-305 turbofan.Wow all those American Airlines aircraft awaiting the chop.

I remember when I was a little boy in the early to mid 80's and flew on those AA 757's and Super 80's and they were BRAND NEW! Back then, the DC-10s and 727 100/200's and 737-200's were the older planes that the 757's and MD-80's are today.

Nice report and visuals. Just one request: no music please; aviation enthusiasts want to hear raw plane and engine sound throughout the journey, from pre-start to post shutdown. It's the entire raw experience that excites us. Otherwise, its a great video. Thanks!

Now I’m curious as to why AA would waste the time and resources to repaint some of these planes that will never be used again. You would think they wouldn’t waste the money repainting a plane that would barely make it past the merger

Going into every compartment and touching a lot, made me uncomfortable. It’s there for your consumption, but it vibed like you were rifling through things that you should have asked for. Aside from that, your coverage was enjoyable. Good soundtrack and really cool destination to see out of commission airliners and bizjets. 👍
