CMH went through renovations over the past few years. So it looks a lot better than a couple years ago. Though I'm not a fan of terminal a (Southwest terminal) since it's small and crowded.
@TheElevatorChannel7 жыл бұрын
Yeah... Thunderstorms backed everything up when I was leaving. That little terminal gets really crowded really fast when things start to go wrong.

It's nice to see most of T2 come back to life after Trans World Airlines went out of business. Southwest is continuing to grow as they bring in more revenue and expand to different parts of the Western Hemisphere. I used to think that St Louis Lambert International Airport would never return to it's former glory, but Southwest has taken over T2, and soon, Southwest is expanding to Cancun. I have the desire to fly on Southwest because of how unique it is to other airlines. The only thing that sucks about Southwest is the first come first serve basis when it comes to seating. If you want a specific seat, board in the A group or early stages of the B group. I flew Southwest back in 2015 and that is probably the last time I will ever fly Southwest considering Midway is an hour from us, opposed to O'Hare being 30 minutes away, so it's conveniently located for us to fly out to Vegas every year. Midway is a quiet airport with only 5 airlines, one being Southwest and another being Delta. O'Hare is never quiet even at midnight. Over 20 airlines continue to serve O'Hare including United, Lufthansa, Spirit, American, Cape Air, American, Frontier, jetBlue, Air Canasa, WestJet, and many more. Lambert had been quiet for a long time after TWA went belly-up. Once again, it is nice to see Terminal 2 at Lambert come back to life. I apologize for the longest comment ever! And also, 7:07 Airbus called, they want their engines back.

@putty15747 жыл бұрын
I flew out of here last week and took a walk down to the newly opened gates (and tested the moving walkway, of course). They were very similar to the other new gates you showed, just more isolated and very uncrowded. A temporary-looking bar and a shop cart were stationed down there as well. At the end, there appeared to be some drywall blockading the D concourse. I'm looking forward to the day you can finally walk between the two terminals just like old times.

I like to see parts of abandoned terminals like this coming back alive, are the gates going to be renamed to be part of the E gates or will they still be called the D gates?
@TheElevatorChannel7 жыл бұрын
TheDeltaFlyer They're rebranding them as E gates.
@cokecansandwinglets57837 жыл бұрын
Had a feeling that would happen, it would be cool if they were still called D gates.
@TheElevatorChannel7 жыл бұрын
TheDeltaFlyer I agree, and I'm actually a little surprised then didn't. Would be a great opportunity for the airport to brag about reopening D in the local news.
