Trip Report TPA-SLC Delta First Class Sunrise Takeoff Snow Capped Mountains

Watching this as I'm having my morning cup of Joe and maple brown sugar oatmeal with blueberries. You really can appreciate the majestic beauty of our country as you fly over the mountains and see the snow capped peaks!

Add another word to Pre-Check....CLEARME! Great view of DEN for sure. Love winter flying over the mountains. Landing on the wrong side of the airport from your gate at SLC, ATL, DEN, IAH, DFW takes forever to get to the gate......excellent video and best to you and "THE BOSS".

I might have seen you all fly over! I think I saw several Deltas early Thanksgiving morning. They make a deeper buzzing noise and I always look out the daughter’s window and see them fly over by their unique noise. However, they might have been landing that morning from the north. Can’t remember. Food looks delish! Beautiful views of the mountains and I like the fact the pilot talks to the passengers. Seeing the earth views above makes you appreciate God’s creation.

Breathtaking once again. Gorgeous sunshine over those cotton puffy clouds. Looks like things cleared up for you guys over the Rockies What a smooth touchdown! Btw you may have heard there was a 7.0 quake off the NorCal coast today? A tsunami warning had been issued then cancelled.

Great video, Captain. IDK if youve heard all the aviation news or not, but JetBlue is apparently cutting routes and restructuring, Avelo is adding routes, Including some international routes (!!!) and my airport up here (RDU) is getting a new runway!!! whoo hoo. Hope you and the Boss are having an amazing time at SFO!!!

Nice video Capt! Can’t wait for my DC flight this January. Did you happen to do some SLC spotting also? Do you happen to know the app Flighty? You can track your flights which is pretty cool and it will also keep records for free (there are premium and in-app purchases). At 6:39 pretty amazing view with the sky and the clouds.

Other than Ed Bastian, is there any specific reason you and the Boss fly Delta consistently?

Good question and yes we feel Delta is by far the best domestic carrier. I’m a million miler with AA United and soon 2 million with Delta and gave up on AA and UA several years ago. By far our favorite airlines are Qatar Singapore and Emirates.

I would MUCH rather have to connect through SLC than ATL. Too bad Delta doesn't offer direct service between TPA and SFO as does United.
