Loved your video. You certainly appreciate what it took to rebuild this resort and enjoyed meeting the local people. It is clear that you are a seasoned traveller and appreciate the finer things in life…I loved how you asked everyone what their name was and said thank you to all of them. My wish is to go there especially since I watched them bring it back to this beautiful place but no I will never get the chance in this lifetime. Being Canadian, we have watched Brian Baumler on TV for years. This includes all of the episodes of “island of Brian” the story of the development of Caerula Mar Resort. We wish him and wife Sarah the best. They definitely had a lot of unforeseen Challenges, COVID 19, for example making their journey much more difficult and risky. The place is beautiful but at the nightly rate, even in low season, going there is beyond us. From what I can tell it really is catering to the wealthy, with no food, drinks or activities included. That’s ok, it’s their business. We will just continue going places that financially make better sense for us. I still wish them all the best!
@christinesevigny82523 жыл бұрын
I’ve been to better places at lowers costs. This does not give any amenities that you cannot get anywhere else. You are right it is overpriced and you can thank all the spending to Bryan’s high maintenance wife. I cannot stand that woman.

Driffs is fun for lunch and on Saturdays the outdoor bar with pizza oven and barbecue was a nice option. Fun to watch the preparation of the conch salad. Want something special - just ask the chef. We had a deck party at our suite with lobster bites, guacamole & hummus, lollipop lamb chops, and some other things I can’t recall. Fantastic!

Such a missed opportunity. Traveler's are getting tired of the same locations (Mexico, Cuba, Dom. Rep. etc) and are looking for new places to explore. I hope that in the future they realize that there is demand/need for upscale all-inclusive (that isn't part of a larger resort) as well as a boutique resort and change the business model.
@richardpollock90053 жыл бұрын
While not “all inclusive”, this is a small luxury resort with excellent food and service. They have paddle boards, kayaks, and a hobie cat sailboat you can use and they can arrange fishing and diving excursions or you can use a local vendor. They offer bicycles and they have a game room, fitness center, and a spa.

Well, let's see. Statistically, 9 out of 10 Bahamians live on New Providence Island, so I'm going to guess that's where you're from. As pretty much that whole island is developed, I'm not surprised to hear that there's a shortage of "crown land" for anyone to build on. I'd guess further that you and your husband aren't talking the kind of hotel that a billionaire from the States or China would invest in, which is what your government will likely be holding out for in the allocation of that scarce resource on that island. Have you considered a different island? I'm pretty sure you could get something in the Freeport area. And I know for a fact that you can get pretty much whatever you would want if you wanted to build on Andros. There's very little tourism business there, and there's lots and lots of land. I've met a few people from there that never bought any land or know of any titles; it's all just "heritage" property and that's where they live.

Capacity is something like 50 +/-. When we were there it seemed like 35/40. The thing is because of the number you get to meet and know something about the other guests. A fun atmosphere. On the other hand you can be as private as you care to be.
