I think these monkey sculptures are famous everywhere. I have seen the triple “ I don’t want to see, I don’t want to hear, I don’t want to talk” in Australia too. I may want to make a stop here. Beautiful scenery and not far from Tokyo. Thank you for making my day with the elephants story 💙💙

I've only seen Nikko Toshogu in pictures so far. When I actually went to see it, I was astonished by its magnificence.

did you have to buy a separate limited express ticket? or does the nikko pass allow you to ride the kegon train?

According to the website, the Nikko Pass also requires a separate express ticket.

In the United States, the monkeys are known as "Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil." Didn't realize that was in Japan too!

Wow! It was built hundreds of years ago, but I am very surprised that other countries have the same interpretation.
