Thanks Rob! Love the trees. I don't think you mentioned this . . . but the news article said they were "removing the trees" during construction. Question: Are they going to remove the existing trees, plant them somewhere else during construction and then replant them when its done? Or will they be cut down and new less mature trees be replacing them? I just have a feeling I need to wait like 8+ years to see this kind of bloom again. Thoughts?

Nice midweek bonus video! Thanks for the walking tour. Very informative too. Had no idea regarding the tidal basin flooding issues. The FDR was my favorite and mostly because of the tour we took with you. Such interesting information. See you next week!!

Hi Rob went to tidal basin today :) not many people and blossoms still looked good. Best looking ones were at MLK imo. Ty for tips! Hoping kwanzan bloom soon

Haven't had a chance to come out to the Tidal Basin yet since peak bloom started, hopefully will be able to do it next week and hopefully the trees will still be in bloom

Petals are already falling! Kwanzans should be getting close by next week though.

Took your advice and went there today, a cold, rainy day - just came back and your'e right, there's hardly anyone there!

Right?! Going in the rain is one of the few cherry blossom hacks that actually works.
