this is the only bus i have seen with bunks, let alone, triple bunks. thank you so much. we are looking for this to travel, not live in full time yet. but just travel.

❤️❤️❤️❤️I love what you said about how it's more important to the both of you that the kids be able to help and can say that they were a part of this, rather than having things perfect..I believe your bus will be perfect..afterall, it's made by your family with lots of love❤️

As a parent I completely agree with your philosophy as it’s more important to have the kids get involved and not worry so much about how the end product looks. Great to see all the progress.

You have really been busy! I really like the white wash stain for the walls inside. That will help to make the bus look more open and brighter inside. Can't wait to see the cabinets go in with the counter tops. I was looking at the Good News Bus length compared to the new bus. How much longer is the new bus? Keep up the good work - I'm really enjoying the videos. It is just amazing to watch this bus transform into a beautiful home. And Julie is looking amazing. I am just so impressed with everything that she is doing work-wise on the new bus. My daughter just had her first baby 10 weeks ago and I know how hard it is getting around while you are pregnant and how tired you can get. So kudos to Julie! Hope and pray you all get over your sickness and feel better soon!

y'all are doing an amazing job. Thank you for showing us how to do the bunk. I am going to have to build a bunk in my bus above my bed in the back and I'm still scratching my head over how I'm going to do it because it is going to be full size and I don't want to lose my windows. I don't know how Julie does all that work being pregnant well God bless you

IT LOOKS GOOD i been missing you all on my feed lately! Glad everyone is better!!! I do have one suggestion after a failure i seen on another build. The plywood was not strong enough and cracked under the weight of the person. ( talking bout bunk beds) you might want to add some support slats under the plywood for extra support

This is perfect, great job. I'm wondering what your height is between each bunk? I'm doing similar in mine and I'm at 73" total ceiling height (MC9 No Roof Raise) , less a 12" cabinet holding 3 drawers on each side (think that's too tall?) Leaving 60" or so to work with, less 5" or so for the mattresses leaves the kids with 27" or so at best for room. Is that too little?
@TheBusLifeShow6 жыл бұрын
27” is perfect. We are a bit under that.

I have enjoyed watching your videos! Your family is very cool and you should be very proud... all hard work has paid off:) My feeling is that you guys are not afraid to do your own work. Real DIY. I am a hydraulics engineer, welder, and do a lot of my own projects. If you are ever on the west coast and need a place to park the bus, we have 5 acres in Camas WA, and a wood fired pizza oven. We would love to make pizza for your family.

Are you planning to stack 3 bunks on each side (6 total)?? That would seem like an awfully tight squeeze ... Would the older kids even be able to sit up on their beds without hitting their head on the bunk above?

Laughter Smiles and 6 beds for 8 kids? Did I miss two beds? Or even one because I know a baby can co sleep.

Your boys are gonna get so tall. What are you gonna do if they outgrow the beds
@TheBusLifeShow6 жыл бұрын
If they outgrow their bed they are in trouble as that is a standard bed length. It’s called a narrow twin and is the same size mattress as what truckers use is their sleeper cabs.

Very informative video. I like the 3 bunk beds on each side. I’m curious will 3 bunk beds fit on a regular Skoolie without the roof being raise?

Depends on the height of yoru ceiling. If it’s about 6’ 5” and you bottom bunk almost sits on the floor then yes.

What's poppin guys ? As always it's looking A damn mazing , I still just love that RV door... Any supports going in the middle of the ply? It will help take the weight ...
@TheBusLifeShow6 жыл бұрын
No center support as we wanted to give head room. I got in the bed and bounced around and it seems pretty solid. Down the road if I think it will be an issue I will add support or thicker plywood.
