💯 the disposable pan, soup spoon and such are turn offs. I think people making these videos are trying too hard to appear “normal” and not over the top with production and aesthetics, but they’re taking it way too far.

My mom used to make this when I was a kid. Same ingredients, except she made the cook & serve pudding, and then added the cake mix to the pudding. Chocolate chips went on top.

I commented after I prepared and baked this cake. The specific ingredients are: 1 large package (5.9oz) of Jello chocolate instant pudding mixed with 2 cups of milk, mix well. Add 1 chocolate cake mix any brand to the pudding and milk mix well. Next was adding an entire 12oz package of semisweet chocolate chips . A 12oz package of chocochips equel 2 cups. I added only 1 cup of chocolate chips and it worked out well. NOTES: I used a handmixer to mix the milk and pudding mix. I dumped in the cake mix, used handmixer on low and same for adding the chocolate chips. This was easier than mixing by hand. I had a lot of batter in my bowl, Batter was high volume, gooey & thick. I eyeballed it and thought this is too much for a standard 9x12 baking pan. I divided batter into a greased 9x12 pan AND a bread pan. Baked both pans at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool the Cakes. Cake cut very well using a plastic knife. Taste: The consistancy is between a brownie and a sponge cake. I agree adding a topping of whipped cream and some pretty sprinkles makes a lovely looking cake. Thank You

If the bag always falls out, then take it out of the box and just pore it. Using a rubber spatula, will always work better then a metal spoon

😂🤣 the brand is Jell-O. But it is instant chocolate pudding. Yes, people do not want to buy into a hard semi sweet chocolate chip. Use candy bars like Hershey’s chocolate bar and chop that up and that will also do nicely.

I assume he's doing the best he can. Not everyone is stocked with lots of baking equipment. It took me years to have assorted kitchen supplies for cooking.

If you're going to bake on youtube, you should at least have basic cooking equipment. Doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, just a bigger proper mixing bowl, a non-disposable baking dish and a spatula. Maybe you could even have family or friends donate because it's pure cringe watching you use a soup spoon to scrape the bowl. Won't be watching anymore of your vids.
