I have a buddy who drives over the road. He has a Pug (tiny Chinese dog with a smashed face) and she is a total road dog. She goes ballistic if she isn't on the road. He puts his laundry bag in front of the passenger seat and she sits on the seat and growls at other vehicles.

Central California here, 110 on a regular basis, don’t even want to open the door to let the dogs out! They go and take care of business and come right back in the house! The sudden heat outside is bad but not the most dangerous part. The sustained higher temps when he cant get cool is the dangerous part. Dogs do not sweat so getting cool and keeping under a safe temp is how dogs run into trouble. You would never forgive yourself if Opie got over heated. Being a responsible pet daddy is a big responsibility. Safe is never wrong

Spread the prongs in the seven way. Not too much you can snap the prongs off. Ask me how I know. Your electric cord looked loose when you plugged it in. Worth a try it does the trick on these old junky containers I drag around.

It's 104° with a heat index of 110° today down here in South Texas. Our German is going on 11 years old. She only goes outside early in the morning and late at night. We have to give her joint supplements to help her get around. Of course, being overweight doesn't help matters. Yeah I bet you miss Opie being with you on your trips. Try a Zip tie stuck under the bottom of the plug on the trailer it might be sagging and causing a poor connection. Maybe?

--kind of the nature of the breed ... GSD (german shepherd dogs) , a bit like border collies, high drive, ... they are usually "one person dogs" ... the handler, the leader, the good bond that you have with Opie is special. BSafe. (and we love Jax and Rosie too.)

Swap ends on your pigtail. Believe it or not, it usually makes a light problem go away. Usually. I drove a Bulldog many years ago. Unknown to me, it had a bad brake/signal bulb in back. Every time I put my right signal on, the brake lights would also come on. Scared a lot of drivers when I pulled back in after passing them. Took me a while to figure that one out.

I'm an OTR guy and not having my fur baby would be hard for me, yes i worry about what happens if i break down in 100° or -30°. If I get hurt, in an accident or just about everything, but love having her with me

Trucker Josh having the same problem with his Dog "Diesel" in Canada, AGE & HEAT along with the sounds & ride of a KW-900L too much & Diesel gets a case of anxiety with the NOISE & not too smooth ride of KW on long trips, so Diesel stays HOME with the other 3 dogs, wife & son "Theo" now about 4 months old... 🙂

Get a tube of dielectric grease and keep in your truck my friend. 99%+ of the time if you grease the electric connection for the trailer with it that will fix an intermittent trailer light issue.

From 2025 on you are not going to want a new vehicle. They asked the law that they are going to put breathalyzers on every vehicle. That means if you’re following someone too closely, their breath can actually shut your engine down. Also, if someone is in your car that has been drinking. It could shut your engine down there’s more.

Furry friends are something to cherish. I have 2 kitties that I wouldn't take anything in the world for. Kitty is a little Calico I adopted from a big box pet store. Her previous human died and she just caught my eye. First night home she jumped up on the bed and I thought ahhhh. Then she peed on me. After that she chilled out and after a year she became glued to me (sleeping between my legs right now). Wife says she gets separation anxiety when I'm away.Kitty,not the wife lol.
