I've never seen 3 drummers play together this way. The combination is incredible, coordination perfect and when all 3 attack the bass drums and toms it's so powerful, wow! Oh man, you need to see the Buddy Rich memorial concerts. They do the three drummer showcase all the time. Weckl, Colaiuta and Gadd once appeared together and as God once said "It was good".

@@shapshooter7769 Right? That clip was the most awesome 3-way drum-off you will ever see, period. All of their notes line up together sounding like 3 records mixed together. This one can't even hold a candle none of the 3 care about harmony and just based their groove on the metronome.

Absolutely incredible. I've seen many multidrummer performances, from the likes of Virgil Donati, Thomas Lang, Terry Bozzio, Dennis Chambers and many others, and I don't think I've ever seen (or heard) a group play such interwoven poly rhythms like at the beginning of the video. Most have a couple of unison with some embellishments, but the way you three added each part made my brain leak out my ears... Amazing. Only halfway through the video and all of you have such distinctive styles and personality, and such deft touch, not to mention perfect groove... Mastery. This one was actually streamed on a paid service that is available for people outside of Japan. I bumped into the 4 sets she did for the 10th anniversary of her first album by accident and managed to watch the VODs of the streams before they disappeared. I have watched a lot of these types of these type of streams over the last year and while there are plenty of shows that either won't get streamed or are streamed on services that don't work outside of Japan, there are starting to be more shows that are. I would love to post the services I have used in the past, but I know from experience that youtube doesn't like people mentioning them by name and it usually removes the comment. Edit: Also, one of the Jazz Avengers shows is going to be streamed on May 27th on a service which is available outside of Japan. I can't do more than mentioning it like twtcstng without any vowels but think of the popular social media service without the "er" and "casting".

They were all very good. I am looking forward to the new one. A more bluesy style will be something new and it's a genre I do like even if I don't listen to it a lot.

@@MaartenT If you don't know Shoka, type "SHOKA OKUBO BLUES PROJECT shoka okubo" into the search, with the filter "Playlist". Shoka plays a wonderful blues, actually Shoka was a drummer. but also a soulful blues guitarist and singer. I am very pleased that Juna still plays together with Shoka. Beste Grüße.
