@@BorkenGarage It was my understanding and I’m fully open to correction that this was the last year any teams would receive factory backing hence the last year of an actual Holden racing team. They’re racing Holden’s next year but no factory backing while Triple Eight Racing develops the Camaro race car throughout next year. Admittedly I haven’t researched it hard so you may well be correct and they’ll start next season with the Camaro which I wouldn’t be mad at either as long as the parity kerfuffle isn’t as bad as it was with the Mustang. Only other thing to consider the next gen cars are due 2022 I thought so it’d hardly be worth the effort to develop a Camaro for one years racing only having to start all over again for the following year.

@@NZsarge1 Yeah I would put money on you being right on this one. I heard that Bathurst was Holden's last race, maybe it was the last Holden backed race? I dunno. I've lost interest since they went to Pay TV and I don't have Foxtel, plus the whole 'parity' thing wrecks it for me. But that's a whole other topic. It would make sense for 1 more year of Commodore.
