This is a lifesaver because my textbook did not explain how to do this, and my professor didn't even cover the topic. However, it ended up on our homework. I would not have been able to understand this without your help. Thanks, Patrick!

Patrick you are my hero!!! Although thanksgiving was yesterday, I want to give thanks for having you in my life since Calculus I, always there, helping me understand math, a problem at a time! Thank you!

So, I just gotta say. Thank you for explaining this to me in practical terms, instead of trying to force me to understand it using hundreds of proofs. Sometimes they start to swim around in your head and actually don't even show you the operation when you sit down to take the test!

Why can't my textbook explain like this? In fact, my textbook doesn't even show examples in anything other than dzdxdy or dzdydx. You are a god!

hi whats up buddy.. I have to say you did a very great job helping people that struggle with maths and for some people like myself who is quite preoccupied with daily stuffs yet whenever i do have spare time i race to my book and notes to learn math again- so i find your channel very very very useful and we are very grateful for that.. ^^ if could request you something bro is that, im working my way up to calculus here my man, hoping next year or 2 years id be able to get back to University,. thats why little by little i want to self-learn so if that time comes things would be easier.. hence asking you a big favor if you could just give me an outline on which of your videos to go first- that would make my learning be more organize. i mean, if i go algebra then trigo etc,. coz im embarass to admit that most of the playlist you created sounds all greek to me.. :( so there, bro if you could spare time helping a brother in need.. i promise you my engineering diploma. thanks. many many thanks.

@chrisjfox871510 жыл бұрын
A thorough, free education is definitely available to those who want and can benefit from it, but also realize that the advantage of actually being in school is the ability to interact with this instructor on-the-fly (i.e., ask questions) and working with your peers.

Martin Parobek My thoughts exactly... You need that degree. I started going to college for the first time about two years ago. The cool thing is I did a lot of self study about math and physics because I'm a nerd and now it's pretty stress-free for me at the university. Off topic though, definitely stay in school otherwise all the knowledge you gain is just useless as far as the job market is concerned.

I appreciate your videos but you made a silly mistake in that one, you showed the z axis when you wanted to talk about the biggest boundary for y. It's okay though because not only do I understand, I can catch mistakes. THANK YOU GOOD SIR!!
@havilahgold294210 жыл бұрын
So the integral closest to the center will always be a surface? and the outer most will be bound by numbers and the middle will be either x=? y=? z=?
@dmelnick0010 жыл бұрын
So you're right about the first part. The "inner most" integral in the expression describes the surface. After that gets integrated, one could imagine collapsing the shape down on itself, into a 2D region D or R... the one you integrate first is the "surface" and can any variable x y z (any), which is why you are able to switch around the order of integration in the first place. It makes more sense after you learn green's and stoke's theorem. And stop thinking in terms of numbers ASAP.
