I could watch this all day. It’s so relaxing and therapeutic. Probably lowers my blood pressure too. Thirty five years ago I was a lumber broker. I.bought and sold train loads of lumber out of British Columbia and sold it to retailers as it rolled down the track. Things sure have changed.

First time watching your channel. I'll be back again. But you must make good money selling slabs. After 53 years of pulling the lever , I always made more money in lumber. You sent alot of lumber out the other end in slabs. I love the mill, same as the one I learned on back in 1971.

Thank you very much! We are a heavy hobby mill and we cut lots of unusual wood that I get from my tree service. Yes the slabs sell well. Thank you for watching welcome!

Depends on how dirty the logs are but usually every other day. We only saw maybe 1000bf a day, we are a heavy hobby mill as we like to call it. Thanks for watching!

Hi guys, I have noticed on some other channels their are different tooth patterns for the saw, what pattern do you run and why. also if you are doing a long run of a particular species do you change the pattern.

Both of our saws cut about the same though one is a common modern F pattern likely from the 70’s and the other is from the 1940’s and is a number 3. The biggest difference I notice is in the sound each has its own, and one likes quite a bit more lead than the other. That I find very interesting. They both cut hard and softwood very well. Appreciate your interest! Oh and both saws came with the mill and see our saw doctor regularly to set tension.

The mill is looking good, I hope someday you can find a good used log turner it will really help out

You sure leave a lot of good wood on your slabs

Yeas for sure I could have gotten a couple more boards. We have a steady market for the big slabs and it’s all salvaged wood we were sawing so not too bad for an amateur. ☺️thank you for watching
