Triple Play is a favorite tradition here at Missouri Star. Once a month, Jenny, Misty, and Natalie each demonstrate their own, unique spin on a favorite block, technique, or template. Natalie's Scattered Shoofly Stars is a modern masterpiece with big lemons stars and decorative shoofly sashing. Her fabric is Daisy Fields 10" Stackers by Beverly McCullough of Flamingo Toes for Riley Blake.
Misty's Star Dancer features stars in two sizes. She whips up scores of itty-bitty stars using the easy 16 method for making speedy half-square triangles. Her fabric is the Country Rose Layer Cake by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics.
Jenny’s Scrappy Dashing Stars dazzles with intricate piecing, but it's all made with quick and easy strip sets. Her fabric is the Buttercup and Slate Jelly Roll by Corey Yoder for Moda Fabrics.

My first quilt was a Hunter's Star. Oh my it seemed so hard! I watched Jenny's tutorial 40 times. It has pride of place in my house. All in browns and greens on ivory. I swore I'd never sew a 16 patch again. I didn't square those blocks hahaha.

I absolutely love all the MSQC quilting videos. I must admit I do cringe a little bit as I’m a pinner from way, way back😄😄😄. Thanks to a Mom who was a great seamstress and 3 years of Home Ec in grade school I learned about pins - but I dint do quite as close with the mind as I’ve done years back. I sure wish my 1/4” was as quick as you girls sew but I do have sort of wonky eyes (can’t see 3-D) so I sew much slower but it works for me. Thanks again and again for all your fabulous quilt tutorials.

I love your channel but TRIPLE PLAY is by far my FAVORITE PART! SO fun to see the different takes! At 24:55, instead of cutting the small squares as Misty does, use the Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer. That way you're cutting AND trimming at the same time.
