I bought the digital version of this template and printed it. It doesn't have measurements on it. I think it printed much larger than what urs looks like. I could not use a fat quarter for the whole outside piece it was too big.

Beautiful quilt and great tutorial! If I am free motion quilting my quilt, what special considerations do I have to make when quilting over the embroidery? How do you keep the embroidery threads from snagging on the foot?

This technique reminds me of learning how to sew curves; at first, it seems so awkward and complicated, but just like most new skills, the more you practice, the more comfortable you get with it.
