Sutton Foster is proof that you can belt high notes eight times a week for years and years and it doesn't "tire out" your voice. Because of proper technique she can still do everything she could do 15 years ago. If someones voice is getting worse over time, it's because they've been singing with unhealthy habits. So young performers should take good care of themselves so they can keep singing for a long time. holy h e c k that's more likes than I was expecting.

i’m honestly so shocked her voice has stayed as healthy as it has. if you’ve read some of her interviews, she expressed that millie and little women were terrible for her voice. she hated being the ‘star’ and being forced to carry a show when she didn’t know how to. it took drowsy chaperone and Shrek for her to find her passion again

BROCCOLIBOI right, bad technique and stuff, but I don’t think that means taking her singing points away because even though her vocal chords have been damaged, she still sounds good. I mean her new album came out the other day and her belting is still on point, whether or not her technique is bad. Technique: not so good Sound: oooh you go girl
@iliveinabog32545 жыл бұрын
Estela Ramos no I totally get that she sound s great still, but really only in more controlled settings, like a studio or something. I can see her really excelling in her albums and stuff (not saying they are heavily doctored or anything, just not completely live, considering they can redo stuff and make things louder/softer and stuff). Her live performances, especially more recent ones, are really strained most of the time, I really wish she had learned better technique because she one was such a triple threat. I just don’t think you can count it now because she can’t really produce a good live sound anymore.

My idea for a quadruple threat is acting, dancing, singing, and playing a musical instrument.

I think Gwen Vernon dances Fosse better than Fosse himself ;)

Anastasia Bananastasia fosse is a choreographer who’s style of choreography is present in many musicals like chicago and sweet charity. he’s dead but his choreography is still used now. gwen vernon was one of his wives and used to be his dance captain so she knows his style very well and honestly can make it prettier than him sometimes

Zoe Reed he also danced his whole life from childhood, danced in tv programmes and for mgm (ie. kiss me kate) and they both danced together for decades. they were more a team and soulmates imo and saying one is better than the other is just distasteful.

I enjoyed this video. I don't know alot about dance styles but I think there was a lot of Bob Fosse type dancing .

When you quit dance to persue theater and realize it's still very important for theater so you have to regain your skills 😙✌

This video shows really well that triple threats are super rare to find... I wish my family & I had the money to take dance lessons in ballet, jazz, modern and tap when I was younger. I had singing lessons and acting lessons twice a week, but never got to really learn how to dance which saddens me so much.
