I like how triple trouble has atleast some lore to it, even in this mario version. Luigi and Yoshi are relatively normal looking save for the blackened eyes and missing arms/hands. Mario isn't disfigured at all but retains the grim smile that EXE does - and since Bowser was the villain in the story, similar to Eggman, he's the most horrific looking. Lost both of his arms, a large gaping void in the center of his face and a singular eye. You can tell that the exe creators and the creators of this mario version definitely thought about what exe what actually do. It's hard to explain, but you can see how they attempted to almost create a personality for EXE through the use of what his former friends and enemies look like, when EXE-ified. EDIT: Gonna address some of the comments below; When I say "EXE-ified" I mean as to them becoming part of the Cult of X. For example, Tails, Knuckles and Eggman were all turned into EXE's slaves and forced to join the Cult of X. I also mean as to how disfigured the characters are - their character appearances drastically change with horrific mutilations than their normal counter parts (knuckles having the torn/broken jaw, eggman having most of his brain exposed, etc). What I meant to say is that they kind of carried the "lore" from the original Triple Trouble to this Nintendo version and made it similar to what Sonic.EXE would do. Kinda sounds like waffle, but whatever lol

What I absolutely love is that mood change. All the characters have high pitched voices, not just the Tails part, which greatly makes the atmosphere differ and I love that, it's so fitting of the Mario franchise's more upbeat and cheery themes, intentional or not, I loved it, which makes it hit harder when Bowser starts singing. My one complaint is that Bowser's voice isn't very harmonized and sounds more like toneless garbles rather than singing, and his laugh isn't very distinctive from the rest of his vocals, I was expecting him to go "BWA-HA-HA-HA! ". Nonetheless, AHHH THOSE CHARACTER DESIGNS I'M SIMPING SO HARD. This is SUCH a good project I absolutely love this.

holy hell, this is actually super cool. every design concept is sick, and every voice is great! absolutely LOVE bowsers vocals, and i also really like luigis vocals too. and toad as bf is just phenomenal. i do wish you would've used bowsers more iconic laugh, and it would've been cool if there were some mario melodies snuck in the places there were sonic melodies (though it's entirely fair that you didn't do that). overall, i look forward to seeing this progress!

The characters fit the corresponding sonic characters perfectly,Luigi as tails [Luigi is marios brother and tails is sonics best friend],Mario as sonic [sonic and Mario are the main characters of both franchises],Yoshi as Knuckles [i honestly don't know here,but they still fit well],and bowser as Eggman [both are the main villains of the franchises],I absolutely love it and the voices

This may seem weird, but i like to think about how Mario found and killed each one of the characters in different ways, heres how it goes: When mario got controlled by the demon, the demon had brutal intentions on turning the whole world into his own by killing everyone, including Marios friends, and his enemies who Mario fought against for years. Mario. EXE started searching for Luigi so that he can make him join the EXE cult, and after hours of searching, he found luigi at the haunted mansion. Mario went in the place who he once thought was a place of terrifying beings, just to see that they were pitiful all the time. Mario saw Luigi shaking in fear, as his head looks at different places, left and right, up and down reapetedly. Luigi saw Mario and sighed in relief, however.. Luigi noticed something odd about Mario. Marios legs were slightly stretched out, his teeth slightly yellow, and most noticably, the pitch black eyes with red dots as pupils. Mario slowly approached Luigi, and snatched the ghost vacuum out of Luigis hands, Luigi, noticably confused and scared for his life, attempts to run away, but it was all in vain. Luigi runs into a wall by accident and falls down to the poorly built wooden floor. The floor breaks, and Luigi falls down several levels of the mansion, breaking his arm in the process. Mario, out of nowhere, approaches Luigi from behind as Luigi was recovering, Mario said: "Dont run Luigi, its all in VAIN." Mario, using the ghost vacuum, rips off Luigis arm by sucking it in with the vacuum. Luigi tries running away again, but as Mario said: Its all in vain. Mario eventually catches up with Luigi again, and rips off Luigis eyes. Luigi has completely given up, he lost all hope, as he watches Mario starting to turn him into a puppet, Luigi decides: "If hes going to kill me, i might as well warn the others."

Horrific lore for all characters Toad: Toad has a magical microphone that makes him invincible as long as he wins in a rap battle. Toad is horrified at all of his dead, decaying friends as well as the burning to a crisp mushroom kingdom behind him. Yoshi: Yoshi was always Mario's best friend, but as seen in triple trouble yoshi is dead. Mario and yoshi went on another journey but as it turned out, yoshi ate something so poisonous, not even he could stomach it. Yoshi started to melt and disform horrifically, having both of his eyes decaying into nothing, bones, body, everything melting until left with almost nothing left. The only thing that remained of that go lucky yoshi was his shell. Mario had to watch all the carnage, shocked by what he just had watched. 2 years after the initial incident, mario had worn the yoshi shell, even as it's decomposing into dust. But 3 months before this song, the shell had completely decomposed. But in the time between then, horrible things started happening. Bowser: Mario was filled with hatred and sadness, never smiling again. Mario's greatest enemy had always been bowser and bowser was the real villain of the entire mario franchise. Mario immediately targeted bowser, going through all the levels, mario being in such denial that he thought he was going through the land of the undead, as mario thought yoshi died with him. Nonetheless, mario kept going to the castle, until it was finally time to take down bowser. Mario screamed in such a sad, angry, absolutely terrified voice about what happened to yoshi, letting out all his feelings against bowser. Bowser was shocked, as this was the first time mario had gone to his castle to do something other than fight. Bowser admitted it was all his fault. But bowser tried his very best to cover it up, by saying other things like "it was meant for something else" and "I didn't mean to hurt you and yoshi" but mario kept finding ways to keep it pinned on bowser. Things such as "WHAT was that something else? WHAT COULD YOU POSSIBLY BE DOING TO CREATE SOMETHING THAT WOULD HORRIFICALLY MORPH AND CRUMBLE MY BEST FRIEND? I HAVE EVIDENCE ON MY HEAD, RIGHT HERE!" Pointing to his head, specifically to the decomposing shell of his former friend, yoshi. "WHY DID YOU EVEN CREATE THAT STUPID.. THING!" Bowser had to admit he did it on purpose. Immediately, mario had enough and found something sharp on the floor, stabbing it into bowser's chest and eyes. Bowser screamed in pain as he knew this was how he was going to die. Bowser had his last breath, mario stepping on his dead body. Mario had horrifically cut a hole in between his now bleeding and non existent eyes, creating one solid hole of gore and anger. Mario did not feel bad in the slightest, stepping over bowser's dead body over to the axe, dropping browser's already dead body into the lava below. After this, something awakened in mario, but he just couldn't tell exactly what. Luigi: Luigi had known what happened with mario, yoshi, and bowser, so luigi was constantly trying to make mario feel better. Luigi tried everything he could, but it was no use. Mario was as depressed as ever. Luigi hadn't gone into a haunted mansion in a while, and completely forgot how to do anything, but luigi promised he could and would go into another one, just for mario. Mario felt a millimeter better than he did before because of that statement. But poor mario should've known. With how things have been going, he should've known that nothing would be different from what happened to the others. While Luigi was in the mansion, he came across a circle of boos, who trapped Luigi in a circle. This would be first, and last time Luigi would ever hear a boo talk like a human. "WE KNOW WHAT YOUR BROTHER DID TO LORD BOWSER! PAY WITH YOUR BLOOD!" Luigi immediately initiated the fight or flight response, but he forgot how to work his suction gun. So his body went with the flight option, but there was nowhere to run or hide. All of the boos had closed in on luigi, trapping him. Luigi let out a distressed scream, before being ripped apart by the vengeful boos. This explains his missing arm. Mario never found out until weeks later when his dead body was found, stuck in a pool of blood. Princess Peach: (Not in song) Princess Peach was tired of seeing mario so down and unhappy, but one day, she disappeared without a trace, mario confused and distressed. To this day nobody knows where princess peach is, but we can only assume she is dead. Mario: All of mario's friends had died, and he was left with nothing. Mario. Had. Enough. Mario went on a rampage, burning down the castle, killing residents if the mushroom kingdom, drowning waluigi and choking wario to death. Mario finally felt satisfied as if nothing had ever happened, but with a terrifying smile on his face, his anger morphed him into a tall, mortifying creature. Everything was burning. The shell of yoshi still in mario's hair, decomposed into a fine powder, the screaming of toads, the silence other than fire, crackling and burning down everything in sight, it was all too satisfying to mario. The only living thing left other than mario himself was toad. And that's where the song kicks in. But in the fire, while yoshi is rap battling toad, mario gets caught in the fire, dying himself. Finally, the last one left had died. This causes mario's inhumane smile to grow even bigger like a psychopath, as he burns to a crisp. But mario doesn't die like the others. He suffers, never dying, as a godlike creature that could kill anything he wanted. He suffers, watching all of his dead friends face off against toad, waiting for toad to die, but he never does. Some happy lore to counter the horrifying lore! Toad: He managed to escape the wrecked mushroom kingdom and found a mic with a star motif. He sang a little tune into it and he suddenly felt a little revitalized! He had tried it on a dead toad bye singing a small tune to to the *ahem* DEAD ROTING CORPSE and to his surprise the toad came back to life! But was immediately slaughtered horrifically by the hands of Mario.exe, and now with the power to save those from death itself the toad battles against Mario and his undead “pals”, determined to save everyone!
