881 is a fantastic chainsaw. We currently have 10 x 880’s in our fleet, and they are still a brilliant chainsaw. However we had a representative from STIHL come visit us on a site in wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. The representative demonstrated the 881 and wow it’s a beast. It is a pricey chainsaw, but it’s built to last. We did a px with 5 of our 880’s for 5 881’s. We paid £1150 per chainsaw with the reduction of the px. Guys please try the 881. It’s like a hot knife through butter. Ps we was advised to use high octane booster additive in the fuel. Shit, it’s makes an even better sound and no lag!.

I used one of those back in the day to cut stumps. The compression on it was so great that you had to stand on it and pull the rope and pray it didn't slip out of your hand or the recoil would jerk the handle right off. Nothing like sitting there with the saw sideways close to the ground and all the exhaust fumes floating around you. This saw will wear you out.
