Totally agree. I still run Amazon devices here in the UK but that’s only because I can’t get the onn box. But I won’t be buying anymore fire tv devices. For all the reasons you’ve said. Someone needed to say it.

@@davekelly585 Yes. It needs to be jailbreaked. Then it's easy. Do a bit of research on here (YT). Plenty of channels tell you how to do it - it's quite straightforward.

After watching this video you encouraged me to do some research. When I did some research I went out and bought an Apple 4K TV box, and I absolutely love it. Wow, and wow, it is supper fast with the WIFI and 68gb. You don't have to install a downloader and all this 3rd party crap. Don't have to go through and clear the cash and worry about space and running slow. Plus we all have apple products so they all work with it seamlessly. I highly recommend it to any Apple phone users. In short, thanks.

I bought one just to use at hotels because I’m on the road for work all the time. I had to ditch the fire stick because it won’t get past the captive portal screen to connect it to the hotel WiFi at most hotels.

It's almost 2025. Streaming sticks are of the past. No need for them anymore because TVs these days do the same, and also mirroring from phone to tv is as easy as tapping the icon on the corner. The only reason for a streaming stick is to hack it and watch things for free

Your reasons aren't that convincing not to buy a firetv. I just bought a 2023 firetv stick 4k. No wifi, ui lag or any other issues. Just a smooth experience. All my apps are mostly available on its appstore. It's controls my lg tv volume and power switch. I am just surprised to see how such a small device has absolutely no lag issues and plays 4k content easily.
