Those river screens work terrific when setup properly!!! It was invented close to me in Clay center Kansas. We pump out of Republican river which has very little flow at times.....

You could dig out a flat spot , called a landing or a step to make the trackhoe much safer to use , you loose a lot of the lifting capacity of the boom because of the geometry shifting the center of balance . I suspect there is going to be an annual remove an launch so the landing will be of use before something happens that is irreversible.

On the river screen could you take a tractor weight hanger used on the front of a tractor then attach it to the far end of the screen. Then hang your weights on it to get the best counter balance

You know a better design for your river pump would be to build a structure like a floating dock. That way it would always be in a perfect position and you could leave it in there year round.

Yeah they spend most of their efforts pollinating trees but it's good to see healthy wild populations to know that they are coping with all the things out there trying to kill them. I don't harvest honey anymore but I love my bees. I've been letting them swarm off to boost the wild stocks for years.

That pipe is overkill. It would be a size for 3,500 gpm. 8" could result in more pressure with less pipe cost and higher pressure rating. I am just guessing your sprinkler is not that large of a gpm
