I grew up in Sweden watching DJ Kat with our satellite disc. According to my teacher I had one of the best pronounciations in our English class, much thanks to DJ Kat. :)

Isn't that Neil Stuke in the Tango advert? It's only about three years before he appeared on "Game On"...

Thanks for posting! I loved DJ Kat! In the first few seconds of this there's a still saying "The End" of a cartoon I think was called Shazan or something, with a guy and a girl who put two rings together to make a genie appear and they'd go back to Arabian times. Does anyone else remember this? Can't seem to find it on You Tube!

This continuity is from February 1993 where I remember adverts such as the Rice Krispies promotional and Tango ones. Shrove Tuesday fell on 23rd February. It was also the day I celebrated my 12th birthday at the time.

Jif is owned by Unilever. Unilever used to also have a brand of kitchen/bathroom cleaner in the UK called Jif also, but this was renamed to Cif in 2001.

@ChristopherSobieniak12 жыл бұрын
That's sad if it didn't last that long (in an age when subtitles can be put on or off the TV itself, it would not seem like a problem but I guess some countries are afraid of children losing their native language skills easily).
@ChristopherSobieniak12 жыл бұрын
Well, I suppose that's one thing to be thankful for satellite TV if it gave Europeans an outlet to learn English from or to even let it creep into their lives without notice!

she was on it up until Sky became based in the UK...she was the best sidekick and DJ Kat was also voiced by a different guy back then too who did a much better job than whoever this guy is.
@DaveAndBeth19782 жыл бұрын
She had left 4 years and three presenters ago by this time (Stephanie Pitt and Katrina Hylton-Hull)... Simon Jermond is the presenter here, he left shortly after this as he was only ever intended to be a temporary presenter whilst they looked for a permanent presenter to replace Katrina Hylton-Hull, and Joe Greco replaced him until the show ended in 1995.... Marcelle Rupert (the female presenter seen here) also stayed until the end... Don Austen took over as voice of DJ Kat in 1989, before that it was Robbie Hahn
