This is the first time, that I have seen ending the tripod lashing with a square knot instead of a clove hitch...and you know what...I prefer it. Thank you very much, that detail alone has helped me a lot. :)

Many thanks. Done so much whip lashing at Guide camp building washing up stands etc. But have never whip lashed with 3 poles. Growing runner beans nd peas in pots, so perfect advice . Thank you brilliant.

You don’t have to do the left over right right over left part. Just make 2 loops in your hand and than move the front loop to the back. We use this in the fire service all the time. Great video.

I'm trying to find a way to lash my 6 bamboo poles together to form a teepee for my garden. It gets complicated and I usually end up making something very messy. Would this method work on 6 do you think? Maybe make 2 tripods and lash those together? THANK YOU.

@@GeneLonergan Hi Gene - thanks very much for getting back to me. I used your lashing technique, but aimed for a slightly looser fit i.e. more space between the poles. Although I didn't have a predictable fit at the top, it certainly works and is very secure. I think the beans are going to love it!
