Tripod vs. Bipod while hunting or calling coyotes

I think the tripod is better for me because when I sit down and have to swing, I just rock it back and use it as a bipod. But I can still use it at night to stand up. Thanks for all the great info.

Great suggestions. I concur with most of your bipod points... Sitting or high chances of repositioning/stalking. Standing hunts for predators gets tripod 100% day and especially night. Sitting is only during day hunts for me and even then, I'm 50-50 between the 2 rests. Bipods are great for quick change-ups but aren't quite as stable for me. I do have bipods on all my rifles, even when clamped in a tripod set-up.

I've been running Hog Saddle tripods for a few years now, ordered the Adrenaline Bog-Pod Bi-pod and a couple of the sling swivel switcheroo mounts, looking forward to lightening up the load when I'm walking in to distant calling locations. Keep up the good work and excellent video's. 👍

Out of curiosity, do you have any recommendations for predator hunting with scoped pistols on shooting sticks? Or what are the lightest bipods that you know of that could work on the underside rail mount of a pistol? I ask because I’m assuming a handgun can just as easily be moved into the alternate positions as you described because of weight and compactness, even if the shooting sticks aren’t attached like a bipod on a rifle (assuming an individual practices those placements and movements).
