I might mount my bipod so that the tension lever is as close to the action as possible.

@@sgulden6276 yep. I have mine mounted so the legs are flush with the barrel.

Good review on both bipods. I've both for coyotes and big game. There is a little user error for sure on the ROKSTEDi as he has it mounted backwards. If you hit that detent and you have it mounted correctly you can just tap the release in the center of the ball with your thumb and it instantly frees.

@@Kuech just seems like a potential terrible situation if you’re tracking a coyote and then it locks up. May be nice though if you mounted it closer to the receiver so you could pan like a tripod.

@@CallIntheCountry if you run the ball at even the slightest angle the detent won’t lock. I’ve killed dozens of coyotes with a ROCKSTEDi, it takes a bit to figure out but it truly is the best predator hunting bipod around.

Good comparison guys, thanks.

Does the hatch bi pod pan left to right? I love the fact that both are american made! Craig down in AZ, of Rokstedi, is a true outdoorsman and an awesome human being. Dustin White

@@DustinTorry7 the Hatch does not pan and that’s one of the main differences between the two. While it was one of the features that Aaron chose the Rokstedi over the hatch he’s found it not to be beneficial on a coyote stand and does not use it.

@CallIntheCountry i appreciate the feedback! I have considered both of these for quite some time but have a hard time justifying the money..... when what I have works. I guess if it's not broke, don't fix it, LOL. i look forward to more content this season! Thanks again Dustin White

I like the plunger style to go from short to tall and back to short but not sure how it would be swinging and getting reset quickly undetected on a coyote.
