It is a nice video but the only point is the places you have mentioned like Patnitop, Kishtwar National Park and Mata Vaishno Devi Mandir , these places are in Jammu and not in Kashmir. Had a taxi driver today in the UK from Kashmir , very nice guy from what I could understand from his thick accent... he enlightened me with information about Kashmir, telling me Kashmir is its own country not part of India, Pakistan or Mongolia! Not sure about the geographics or politics tbf I just always thought it was part of India 🤷‍♂️ My local curry house is called Kashmir cafe and all the staff are from Kashmir so now I'm wondering have i been eating Indian or Kashmir food or are they both the same?

Kashmir has been part of India for thousands of years... even when India was itself a hundred kingdoms. Ancient Indian, specifically hindu centric traditions and cultures first took shape in Kashmir itself. But since the advent of Islam from north west around 900 a.d, Kashmir was mostly under islamic rule. That doesn't mean it needn't be a part of India. We've embraced all of those cultures too. When all kingdoms merged to form a union of India, The then ruler of Kashmir acceded to India, and rightfully so. Bad governing and bad neighbors both contributed to the present state of Kashmir. The 80s and 90s are to be blamed for today's situation. I can only hope for good governance, and that extremist generation slowly wanes away with age... and the young ones come out rightly educated and with better hearts. As for your silly doubt about your cuisine being Indian or not... Kashmir is a tiny part of the shared culture of North India. Leh and Jammu are right there with Kashmir and yet they proudly identify themselves as Indian. For all the good heart your taxi driver might have, he is the product of misinformation , agenda , bad governance and extremism that has ruined his generation. Remind him how proud his dad would've felt about being Indian... and hopefully his son someday feels the same. As for him, he is a lost cause.

I would much rather spend more money & visit Europe than visit Kashmir where people hold grudges within their heart but put on a FAKE face to please tourists for economic purposes. In the west people don't care, for them Tourism is BUSINESS not politics, true professionals.

Don't have time for this. Every state has military presence and a state with such history and infiltration and long borders with a country which fought 2 wars is bound to have greater military presence. How does it affect civilians?
