Top 12 Things To do in Kashmir

What's a place you visited as a kid that you went back to or still want to go back to as an adult? For me it was Kashmir!! I remember it so clearly as a child. The snow capped mountains, the shikara ride! I always wondered if Kashmir was over rated. But let me tell you Kashmir is Under Rated!!! And for those asking me if it's safe? Yes I feel very safe here. also - more than the natural beauty -The people are the sweetest and the most hospitable I've met anywhere.
1. Gandola ride to reach pahse 1 & 2. watching this beautiful view from a top view was wonderful.
2. Apharwat peah: So many Fauji points.
3. Kabootar valley: Wow, double decker skiing was fun and snow sledging. Although I was scare at the strated but I highly recommend you for it! It was so much fun!
4. Watching purple flowers bloom all around during summers. If you visit Kashmir around summers, you will witness these beautiful flowers all around!
5. Kashmiri Men: Which state in India has the Most Handsome Men? And Most Beautiful Women? For me, I think Kashmir wins for the handsome men :) This is the only state in India where I think the men are more gorgeous than the women.
6. Shikara Ride: It's so dreamy to watch the sun go down sitting in the shikara and sipping hot kawa.
7. Dal Lake: you will see a number on things people do on the dal lake from enjoying kababs to smoking hookas!
8. Floating market: Name things you have it all here
9. Houseboat: It's a luxurious experience staying in these hoouseboats. Owners have to inherit it and cannot buy.
10. Pari Mahal: Pari Mahal or Peer Mahal, also known as The Palace of Fairies, is a seven-terraced garden located at the top of Zabarwan mountain range. It is an example of Islamic architecture and patronage of art during the reign of the then Mughal Emperor khan Shah Jahan.
11. Shah-E- Hamdan: Shah-E-Hamadan Masjid🕌 It is one of the best examples of Kashmiri wooden architecture, and is decorated with papier mache.
12. Sonmarg: Sonmarg has ancient importance because it was a gateway on the ancient Silk Road that connects Kashmir with China. Sonamarg is a valley covered in white gold thereby living up to its name.

I had very very very high interest in joining army and I tried and work really hard but couldn't make it to the final. But my friend made it she infact got her first posting in Leh, I would loved to be there. But maybe my purpose to be in the world is different and I am working on that. I have been to Kashmir twice..I was literally stunned to see how beautiful they look ..They have a very bright charming face...! Pretty tall..and lean! Fair skin...I thought I am in Turkey or Iran...! Later I read about their ethnicity and came to know they are probably from one of the lost tribes of Israel.
