Have about a dozen zonie cables. All work, no balance issues. They have good QA. Tried other cable companies but went back to tripowin. Also the make great budget iems with no issues.

We do Iem monitors onstage and studio. We have 150+- sets in the budget case and never use the og cables. We replaced them all with the Zonie cables in six colors. We’ve never had one complaint about cables!!

@@Alex-bm9nb Actually, it’s gold and silver braids together, but from a few feet away it looks very gold. The gold just stands out! We have all the colors and it makes it very easy to match colors with iems. I like them all, but the Moss color is awesome! I’ve bought many cables from different companies, and the Zonie cable is the best bang for the buck we’ve ever bought.

What I love about the Tripowin cables is ...everything. But seriously, I love that they come in multiple cores and thicknesses, have many color options, along with all of the different connector options and terminations. They are reasonably priced, nicely built and readily available at the online market of your choice. I didn't like the earhooks on my QKZ x HBB so I replaced it with the Mirage (which is the same twisted construction as the Solstice) and they've been fitting much better. Realizing that the quality is good, I got two Zonies, each with the 4.4 end with one having a QDC connector and the other with 2 pins, which can now match with any IEM in my collection. The Moss color is cool. It looks black with green highlights. I'm happy with them. This is a great review. Short and to the point, and matches my experience with Tripowin Cables. You provide all the info we would want if anyone is considering this cables. So thank you, I'm gonna check out more of your vids!!

This cable is insanely soft and flexible I would wear underpants weaved out of this wire. Ear hooks were better than most for my ears it seems like my iems stay put and don't slowly back out over the day like some cables. Interchangeable connectors are fragile and bulky would rather have a few of these than any of them. Only downside for me is it's slightly too short maybe there was multiple options for length and i screwed up when i ordered.

This is an excellent, accurate review. What it doesn’t take into account is this cable’s longevity. I bought this a couple of years ago and it was great at the start - just like this review said. But that started changing after about 12 months. All of a sudden I started getting audio drop outs. This was followed months later (well within the 24 month mark) with the MMCX connection with the IEM regularly coming off on side, followed shortly thereafter by the other one doing the same. Of course, I replaced it with a new one (different brand) and after a couple of years had none of these problems. I kept the cable in the drawer and came across it the other day and boy does it look baaaaaad. All fogged up and looking much older than its 3(ish) years. If I could add a photo here to prove it, I would. Only buy this cable if you plan to use it for less than two years otherwise you’re playing Russian roulette.

I have a Tangzu Wan'er and have a weird problem with it. When i wear it, the ear hooks pull the iems outward away from my ears and eventually they fall out of my ears completely. I think maybe it's bcoz the hooks are too stiff so i tried to bend them a bit but they won't budge, so i started looking for a new cable with softer hooks and found the Zonie to be highly recommended by everyone. But here you say the Zonie hooks are soft and therefore *won't* help in keeping the iems secure in your ears? 😮 Not sure what to do now...
@IEMCableReviews
@IEMCableReviews 7 ай бұрын
I hate the cables that have an angled connector coming out of the IEM. If that angle is causing your problem, the Zonie would probably help. I find most of the fit security comes crom the shape of the shell and fit of the ear tips, but angled connectors tend for want to pull the IEM out of my ear. The softer earhooks and straight connectors won’t fight against you as much.

I personally dont like the higher strand cables, you end up with little loose bits in the braid eventually. 8 and less is the sweet spot for me for example the C8 which i think as well as the Zonie and a quite a few of the tripowin cables is a staple within the hobby for upgrade cables

Would you be willing to review the Tripowin Solstice cable by chance I like the idea of an all white cable, but it says its a 4core, even tho it looks like at least an 8core based on the photos? Also, any recommendations for a cable that is a bit stiffer in the ear hooking area? Maybe under $30? Wanna find a good cable to go with my moondrop katos, that will help keep them stable in my ear, or at least not be the reason they are being pulled out lol.
@IEMCableReviews
@IEMCableReviews 8 ай бұрын
Tripowin makes a few cables that seem to have similar construction to the Zoe, where the cores are twisted together instead of braided. The Solstice looks to be the same way. For your Katos - if you haven’t tried a Zonie yet I would start there. The ear hooks are not too stiff, but the cable is a good fit in most cases. Hard to go wrong with

@IEMCableReviews Just got the Tripowin Zonie cable to try, based on your review and suggestion. Gotta say, the cable does not disappoint. Honestly, I don't know if I would ever need anything more than what this cable provides, lol. I might purchase the KBear Enma cable you reviewed down the line as well, just to see if that $10~ difference adds any real benefits. The purple on the Enma seems cool too lol and would match the iPod Classic 5.5 Gen I use! Thanks again!!

A bit late to the party, but maybe important for some: Zonie chin sliders are different between colors: I have one moss cable and the chin slider slides down on its own in a bad way. But I have to two gray Zonies, these have a clear plastic "pearl" that works perfect for me.

They are not! Sennheiser uses recessed MMCX. The Tripowin Solstice works though and is also under 20$. Although it only comes in 3.5mm configuration. You can peel off the connection rings on the IE900 and it will also fit the Zonie, but I personally wouldn’t do that and just go with the Solstice which is an awesome aesthetic match too.

Yeah this is why I haven’t chimed in to answer, I don’t use MMCX either (I avoid it because of failure problems) but I thought that Senn IE series uses a non-standard MMCX. Thanks for clarifying. Btw, how does the Solstice behave? I’ve been wary of cables that are twisted instead of braided. Is it ok?
@Tssukiii
@Tssukiii 7 ай бұрын
@@IEMCableReviews The Solstice behaves well enough imo. It’s very slim, way more than the Zonie, but that makes it pretty well manageable. Connectors are fine, quality otherwise is fine. If you want a white-ish cable you can’t go wrong for that price. Although I must admit I stepped a little bit away from buying the AliExpress regulars (Tripowin, NiceHCK, …) as there are cheap IEMs with awesome cables themselves. For clear cables I use the Chu 2 cable which is very thin, but is perfect for rolling up and storing. For dark cables I use the Truthear Hola (now Gate) cables which is incredible as well. I might buy a purple Zonie though, just because it’s that beautiful. Be aware that cables like the Zonie or some Kineras might get nasty after time as the wires aren’t close together and start separating a bit. Cables like the Solstice don’t have that problem. Do look into Openheart cables on AliExpress too if you want a clear one, they have some good options. Regarding the MMCX problem, I wouldn’t avoid IEMs having it, because you will be missing out quite a bit. Of course, they are worse for cable swapping, but if you get yourself the right cable, stick it in and enjoy your music, the life cycle of around 500 plug-in/outs won’t be reached anyway. 2-pin also starts bending if you swap too many times practically although technically it should last longer. I had a problem with 2-pin once, never with MMCX. My favorite IEM by far is the IE600, so if it’s in your budget, do yourself a favor and check it out. Incredible details and incredible bass texture. Very bright, but never sharp (as a young guy). Greetings :)
