People use it to sooth their minds and experience it however they don't see that they are ultimately dealing with a dark realm that's tricking them into beleiving its absolutely fine. . When you get involved with the wrong realm and spirits, it has a direct effect on you. I mean look at the old dudes demeanor and looks. You can't tell me that the spirits he's on about are good. I feel like many people misunderstood the video or over think it too much.. It’s basically what it looks like in the video.. Hamilton took a little dose of the drug and didn’t get as high as he expected so he asked for more. While in the process he swallowed the drug. This caused the Shaman to feel misguide and distrust. The Shaman notice Hamilton was abusing the drug instead on learning the spiritual side of the drug. Hope this makes more sense!

@@kamaratti9539 Yes. You are correct to a good extent, I believe. Additionally, there are many levels to this relationship between substance, body of the host of the substance, and mind of that host... So, I wouldn't say it's all about the state of mind; I think it might be better to see it as a spectrum, or even better, as amultidimensional coordinate system... On one dimension, from placebo/nocebo effect to a state of being conquered by the substance, and everything in between these two... On another dimension, from how the outcome- which results from the substance being mentally "digested"- interacts with the mind to how mind impacts on this "mental digestion", and again everything in between... And, so on... After all, the unknown must be considered; and, the known must not be the only thing that's considered.

That's where the root chakra is which can be associated with animalistic thinking and craving. The shaman said he didn't see him up in the tree "where we know to go". One time I was tripping hard with my 3 roommates in college. We were tripping so hard none of us felt comfortable even speaking. We just laid around in the living room remaining silent. We were a good 5 hours into this trip of silence when all of the sudden I looked over and seen a green troll run across the room. I remained silent, but looked back at my roommates. Suddenly the silence was broken when my one roommate looked at me and said, “I saw the green fucker too”

As our societies and civilizations grow older and become more "advanced", we lose the very things that truly connect us to this planet and allow us to see the world in a perspective similar to this man's. This video really gives insight as to how we have also collectively lost respect for everything and how we really are born to be consumers nowadays instead of giving what we take. It's kinda sorta a sad combination of ignorance and innocence all wrapped into one. For go the ego, beget love and understanding.

As someone who eats magic 🍄’s on the reg, I highly and I can’t stress this enough, HIGHLY recommend everyone trying them at least once. You don’t go crazy and see bats flying around like in the movies. You break down yourself inside and realize how small we are, how short of time we have on earth and how we should treat everyone with love and care because after all we are all one and the same. It’s really spiritual and enlightening. At least twice a month and get my mushroom hoodie, a nice comfy pair of sweats, find something interesting to watch, eat about 1.5-2.5 g’s of mushrooms and let all my cares go. It’s like recharging your life batteries tbh

I once read some call these dead mans nails, meaning like a corpses fingernails. I tried to make a really basic snuff out of these and probably added some things that weren't needed. It's hard to describe the effects, it hits you like a rocket, your face is on fire, I immediately had to kneel on the floor like I was in prayer, could only see hyper fast and colorful Aztec imagery while also feeling like I'm dying. That was about 10 minutes, it took another 30 in a hot shower to feel alright again, and be super thankful to be alive.

It’s more than that. He saw that Hamilton could be humble, but not humble enough to follow every instruction. It was partly the language barrier, and partly differences in the ways they use mind-altering substances. Both seek something similar, but Hamilton does it by new experience, constant learning of new ideas, pushing boundaries etc, and the shaman does it by ritual, by self-inflection and carefully. There’s benefits to both. I wish Hamilton had been more respectful but understand why there was that barrier to truly understanding eachother. They are from very different worlds and psychedelic traditions.

@@coolintuitivename4910 yeah, I feel like a lot of comments were kinda harsh on Hamilton on that aspect, or they kinda wrote-off the shaman and spiritualism. Psychedelic understanding is a mix of the two and for a scientist like Hamilton or someone who thinks in terms of/ seeks explanations from science like me, it can be very hard to just put that aside and trust someone who seems so outside of modern critical-thought. Oh, but we do need to acknowledge the fact that Hamilton cares enough and is respectful enough to seek out these people and try to learn from them, he’s just a natural skeptic and these people achieve what they do by limiting/ removing their own skepticism.
@AreMullets4AustraliansOnly

@@coolintuitivename4910 We all have this notion that shamanism just isn’t “as good” or accurate as the scientific lense, but it prevents us from experiencing alternate ways of trying psychedelics which were important to understanding early use of these substances. Hamilton is overwhelmingly respectful but it works best when he’s talking to someone who he’s convinced by.
