Again, Felix, you've come up with another winner., It's good to see that, small as it is, Bulgaria Air does offer nice in-flight service (bottle of water, sandwich, beverage, chocolate bar: all included in the ticket price). I think some of the larger carriers can take lessons from them. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

Great Trip Report! I love seeing & flying on these smaller airlines. I had a similar experience in January this year, when I flew on their subsidiary “Bul Air” between LCA-SOF on their B737-300. I got the exact same meal and service. I was presently surprised by the service. Keep the great flight reports guys!

I flew on one of bulgaria air's e190s last year from sofia to burgas. Only a 25min flight and I got lots of legroom, a free biscuit and a cheap coffee. Great airline for cheap prices too. Well recommended

This same A319 will no longer fly for Bulgaria Air. It is said, they are switching to an all A320 newer fleet. LZ-FBA is definitely not the newest. Great video and thank you for showing Sofia. Safe travels!

Unfortunately it's not easy to get and maintain a Transatlantic route, let alone to DC. After Balkan air lost the New York route it's almost impossible to get a new one. But you can still travel to Bulgaria, the Bulgarian diaspora flies to London or Frankfurt and from there to Sofia you can take Bulgaria Air. They just bought a few brand new A220s 😍 I just saw a video of the first one getting its paint job on the Airbus KZbin channel.

Hi Felix and David, You have to try Garuda Indonesia their domestic flights. I often ride Garuda from Pontianak (West Borneo) to Jakarta. the flight is only 1 hour 15 minutes, they provide lunch as well as fresh fruit and drinks by Boeing 737-800 aircraft. you must try, greetings from Pontianak.

If you check Flightradar24 or even put the tail number into google I think you’ll find it’s an A319. If it’s because of the dual exit wings it’s a requirement for high capacity A319’s. EasyJet have them too

The cabin, especially Business is better than European Business Class brand on other airlines. The meal is standard, nothing special but at least better than nothing.

Yes as you may know many Asians like to eat multiple small meals a day, i like breakfast options on asian flights as well like spicy pork noodles at 7am lol
