Ethiopian is for sure the king of African airline!! in 2024 they will receive another new two a350-900 and four a350-1000 a total of 6 a350 series and 21 737 max 10 aircrafts that will make their aircraft to grow to 160+.

Ngl one of the things I like is how upbeat the cabin music is. A lot of cabin music is fine. Like ethics has a more somber feeling but I like the happy Ethiopian one more

I’m Ethiopian and this is bull. The airport is modern but overcrowded. A new “airport city” which will be larger than London Heathrow is in the pipeline though.

I was on an Ethiopian A350 from Addis Ababa to Luanda on what was my second flight to date

The food itself in the meal service looked decent enough, but the dish with the dessert in it seemed to have a long crack in the corner. Plus it looked like there was a chunk missing out of the tray it was all served on. This is a big potential safety issue! Staff or passengers could cut themselves on sharp edges, broken bits of dishes can end up in the food, and cracks like the one in the dessert bowl can harbor bacteria.

I am travelling with Ethiopian Airlines in 2 weeks. Do I need a transit visa as a South African passport holder? My layover is only 2 hours. I looked on their visa website and it said I don't need it as long as I stay in the transit area for not more than 8-12 hours I think. Is this accurate?

If you want to go with ethiopian airlines you want to keep extra luggage in your hand like dress daily use because you will never get baggage on the same flight when you land . A few days after you will get it. You will lose your connection flight money and time I traveled two times by international flights but I received baggage after 4 days

Flying with Ethiopian Airlines in Economy or Business on African routes is always a mixed-bag. I've had some great flights & some outright shockers. My last one was interesting as the galley crew allowed passengers to move to the emergency exit seats after take-off even though emergency exit seats shouldn't be offered to passengers unless they pay for it at check-in, the gate or onboard; on Emirates or Qatar, you cannot arbitrarily move to an exit seat.

They re '' bleeding out '' the speed since it s flying so fast at cruise altitude. To expedite their descend they need to slow down first otherwise it will overspeed.

I flew Ethiopian Airlines Gaborone - Addis Ababa - Heathrow ( economy ) The Gaborone Addis Ababa flight ( 5 hrs ) no entertainment and easily the worst in flight food I have ever had. Chicken and rice which felt like it had come straight from the fridge.Addis Ababa was not much better. For three days after flight was very sick with food poisoning. What I can say is the cabin crew were friendly though on The Gaborone Addis Ababa leg after serving passengers they sat in the business class seats and slept. Flight was 11 December 2023 I know it’s economy class but really? Having flown economy Emirates there is just no comparison.

I will never ever travel Eithiopan Airline any more.first lot of delays no respect customer service .they told my transit goes smooth. I have to wait my connection 7 hrs even they didn't offer me to stay hotel and no proper food in the Airport they offer me I was so disappointed my family I told they time I reach Djibouti. They tired and they went go back home again my second transit they do same thing the other thing it is not safe the pilot do not get enough rest. My sister who came from Saudi Arabia via Addis Ababa her luggage was open and stolen.

wait wait are you the one sleep with the pilot?? how did you know that the pilot got a rest or not? it doesn't make sense. also Ethiopian airlines offers customers in terminal and out terminal hotels if their layover time is 8 hours and above. you connection flight was 7 hour layover so it is upto you to get enough information about connection flights and layover times and select airlines that fits you so it is not the airlines fault.
