Great flight. Fly Dubai and Emirates actually different company, but at establishing phase of Fly Dubai, Emirates support them. Also don't forget both of them are state owned airlines, where Fly Dubai directly owned by Dubai Government, meanwhile Emirates owned by Emirates Group. When I see on the Google flight, the direct competitor on this flight is another budget airline called Wizzair, they are 2-4 times cheaper, but you need extra charge for bagage.

Fly Dubai and Emirates are both owned by the govt if dubai. So they are more sister airlines. However emirates literally controls it. So you can sorta say they own it.

My mother was a product manager when fly dubai was created. She was an emirates manager before hand :) emirates itself may not run it directly however there is a number of stakeholders who run both :)

Very nice vid, thanx for uploading it..Flydubai is by no means a budget airline..They started out like this but repositioned themselves as a hybrid airline that does the short-haul for EK..No budget airline sells biz class for 1200-1400euros! And when flying to places where there is no competition they start out at 435eur rtn to DXB economy..That is definitely not a budget price!

Indeed, Flydubai should be considered as a full-service regional "feeder" airline (like SilkAir before merging with parent company Singapore Airlines) serving smaller markets where Emirates' widebodies would be too big.

How can you know before the flight on which DXB terminal will the plane land ? Is it shown on the ticket ? I ask this because at the return from DXB to Bucharest you must know at which terminal you must go. T2 and T3 are not in the same place and T2 has no metro.
