As someone with BPD I can say I am extremely proud of trisha. Staying calm and adressing such a deep betrayal in such an sophisticated way is extremely challenging to do. I love to see the process she made in her mental health. Trisha I'm proud of u! Edit because someone in the comments asked about BPD: BPD is short for Borderline Personality Disorder People with BPD experience emotions up to 9x stronger which makes it hard to regulate feelings in general. Typical symptoms of BPD can include attachment issues, Episodes of rage/hatred, feeling of emptiness, disassociation (day dreaming but worse), psychosis (hearing or seeing things that aren't there), identity crisis, suicidal thoughts, self harm ... etc. To sum it up BPD is caused by a congenital hypersensitivity and traumatically experienced invalidation. Weather or not a person needs trauma to get diagnosed is sadly still up to discussion in my country as the research is still evolving. Theres a lot of Trisha hate in this thread, and while I am definitely not a fan of hers either, it's rubbing me the wrong way. I don't intend to speak on whether she has improved herself as a person or not - because I don't know her and have avoided following her for years - but more importantly, it doesn't matter. Whether she is a "good person now" now is completely irrelevant. She still did the right thing in making this video, and she was still deeply violated by what happened. She was both sexually exploited and used by Colleen to sexually exploit minors, and she handled the public confirmation of that shockingly well given her track record. Does that mean we have to like her or think she is a good person? No, of course not, but that doesn't mean that she didn't approach her public statement in a mature way. In the end, regardless of whether her intentions were selfish or not, she did use her platform to speak out against Colleen and apologize to the children who were harmed in all of this. That's what is important above all else. We have to hold Colleen accountable, because she's clearly incapable of it, and bad mouthing Trish when she did the right thing in the end only muddies those waters.

Sadly or not, but that is a common occurance - people trust more people they know than strangers. Someone like Colleen, who manipulates easily, who clearly had Trisha manipulated to hell already, will spin a story around and convince you because they're oh so nice and decent. One of the people who came forwards about Colleen was a person with a drama channel on youtube who had already made videos about Trisha herself talking about her private life etc. So I think it's understandable to trust a friend over a drama channel person. Of course, most of us know that anyone can be a victim and their background doesn't matter, but to someone who has apparently lost quite a few friends, who is quite insecure when it comes to friendships, who connected to Colleen as a mother speciffically, I am not really surprised she would take her word for it. And you have to take into account that she describes how she's been avoiding drama for a couple of years now, so I expect she doesn't watch channels that talk about youtubers, what they've been up to etc. We can thnk that's wrong, I do agree that it is, but we do have to acknoledge that it is something that some people do - trust their friends and family over strangers. Edit: I'd like to also add that she was groomed herself and that does affect you for life. It can be very difficult to draw a line, to have and protect your boundaries and to even know where they should be built when you've experienced that.

Trisha isn’t Colleen friend. Her whole involvement was because of the podcast. If we want to talk about Colleen friends, we see them with her on the screen: Jojo Siwa, Joey and Daniel. Some other people too like Manny Moa ..etc. if you know a bit about these og YTers, you’d know Trisha was never a Colleen friend. It is very new and it bothers me when people say, she should have said something before. The true question is: why is all of Colleen friends so silent and no one cares? Trisha also has BPD so she has attachment issues. She didn’t want to lose the new friend she was excited to have. Colleen was the one reaching out .. that even means a lot to her. She already had trauma about friendships, saw Colleen as a mum so I am pretty sure, she was trying to hold up to that and giving her the benefit of the doubt. Edit: did you watch her other video .. you will see how Colleen approached her for the podcast yet abused her eagerness to be a friend and have a friend. She literally had the podcast set build by her husband in her house. Bought the next costume for her and colleen, customised gifts and mugs for them. Trisha is abusable and we all saw that before. It is actually very sad to see it. The girl has a history of having no friends growing up. She doesn’t make the best choices and 8 am pretty sure, she jumped on Colleen offer and friendship because she rarely get approached if never to do something or be with someone. Her options are limited and if, they will be from the people she met at parties or knew vaguely from her past which doesn’t help

I think it's a bit of both. The fact is, Trish's sex work has given her a level of financial freedom she wouldn't otherwise be able to achieve. That is something to be proud of, really, but still, anyone is gonna feel a certain level of shame about the whole thing, and that is normal. Trisha has come a long way! She did a lot of DBT (Dialectical behavior therapy) work, and I have had a couple of rounds with it as well. She's for sure using Wise Mind. It means we have two sides, our emotional side and our reasoning side. If you are in emotional mind, you let your emotions get the better of you. We have seen Trish in that state for many yrs. Reasoning mind is like not allowing or ignoring your emotions. I always think of Mr. Spock from Star Trek. What you learn in DBT is that your goal is to be in "Wise Mind." Meaning, you acknowledge your feelings, emotions, etc BUT you try to communicate them using your Reasonable Mind. Basically, it's the meeting of emotional mind and reasonable mind. Self-soothing is also apart of DBT classes as well. *DBT helps with building four major skills mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation.* I think she did a great job, allowing herself to feel her hurt and anger but not letting them overwhelm her to the point of not getting her thoughts across to the listener(s.)

It is heartbreaking for trish who just wanted an honest and true friend after all they have been through. Trish will find that person(s) in time.

I've been thinking about this for a while. So here is a rant about your nagging question. These are the OG content creators and these are not only friendships, they're coworker relationships. Imagine , you're 19-24 and you get an awesome job, just amazing. And you meet a bunch of people, also 19-24. You're all super excited and hardworking because this job is AWESOME. And because your coworkers, you're more motivated to be agreeable than you are in a friendship. "Don't talk about politics, don't talk about religion. oh 'he's just like that, don't take it seriously." And because you work so much, and spend so much time with these people, you DO build really close (sometimes dysfuntional) friendships. You overlook small things because "we're at work, I shouldn't cause drama" And then 10-15 years pass. All of those friends you started with are the people you're closest to. They are the only ones you can talk to about "the good old days." They're the only ones who remember the old issues, what it used to be like. And you all have solid 10-15 year reputations for the kind of work you do. These friends are your only peers because "the new guys don't get it" And to you, all those small things you overlooked have stayed the same. Because you're their equal. But the new people, the new people are seeing the full brunt of the OGs toxicity. And you have a choice at that point, how bad does it have to be for you to say something?

And then I guess she decided to make her own KZbin channel after meeting him and then she got the following that she has now so I think she was friends with Shane for as long as she was because he essentially put her name on the map in a way, ya know? And then I assumed she met Colleen through Shane. 🤷‍♀️

She was probably groomed much like these kids. Adults who at the time of trauma groom adults so it makes sense. Trisha knew deep down right from wrong but wasn’t ever able to say no and thankfully she has grown and has become a true advocate for others. What Coleen has done is cruel and nothing what Trisha would ever have done. That’s why Trisha is so upset by Coleen’s behavior.

So Idk about Trisha’s specific reasons, but I’m just gonna say, from my own experience… I’ve had my fair share of toxic friendships and relationships and I always stuck around much longer than necessary, and for me personally, it was because I had always felt excluded, like I was never good enough, I got discarded over small mistakes without even having the chance to own up to those mistakes and better myself as a person and show them how I’m putting in effort, cause I was cut off before I even got the chance. So when I then finally had someone who would „willingly spend their time with me“ I was so excited that I was ready to do anything to defend this friendship. And whenever said friend then messed up and got in trouble with other people due to some kind of problematic behavior, I would still stick around, cause I know so well what it feels like to just be all alone cause everyone dropped me because of some mistake, that I could have fixed if only I had gotten the chance. And also, when you’re met with constructive criticism but in a supportive way, that’s way more effective than just being cut off. People are more likely to improve their behavior if they feel supported and seen, only antagonizing them will likely resort in even worse behavior, or they just stop caring altogether. I have also done lots of things in the past, that I am not proud of but I’ve moved on and changed my behavior and no longer display those inappropriate behaviors. So I know it’s possible to change. I always get stuck in this moral dilemma, cause I feel like due to my past mistakes, I am in no position to judge someone else who makes these mistakes now, cause I’ve been there as well and I’ve changed so they can too and they’re more likely to when they get support, so I’m gonna try to give Them the support I wish I had had when I was like that, cause that would have been life changing for me back then… I’m working on this, but it’s difficult and I always feel bad when I distance myself from someone even though they’re maybe trying to work on themselves. I get asked why I stayed so long and why I was so loyal to these people. It’s because I thought it was mutual, because I truly got the impression that they were working on themselves and trying to change but just struggling. Because that’s what I would have needed. I know this doesn’t justify anything and it’s still wrong but maybe this helps to understand how that dynamic can form

Here's my take on the nonverbal display you clocked when Trisha said that Colleen told her she would "NEVER share photos of me": Trisha was likely quoting directly what Colleen told her. The vehemence of the word "NEVER" makes me think Trisha is re-experiencing that interaction. Trisha has talked fairly openly about having a particular sensitivity to betrayal and feeling as if she is being made the butt of a joke. I think Trisha is having a response similar to the one many people with severe trauma experience: she's wondering why she didn't clock it at the time, or if she did, why she didn't trust her instincts. I think what you might be seeing is Trisha questioning every moment of interaction with Colleen and wondering if any of it was genuine. I think Trisha is pretty devastated by it.

I sure hope a lawsuit is filed against Colleen regarding the nudes. I'm not a fan of Trisha, but what Colleen did was uncalled for and incredibly violating. It is also incredibly illegal to share nudes to someone who was under 18 at the time. It might be past the statue of limitations though, but I sure hope not. Not sure who would file that suit in that case. But someone should. Colleen should not get away with what she did. I will note with Trisha, she was showing some other signs that I noticed in her body language. The moving of her chair back and forth and the way she kept looking away from the camera. Because they usually won't display emotions or body language necessarily the same way a neurotypical person would. So yeah, he has said in the past that it's a piece of information that he takes into account when he's doing baseline research on a person before reading them.

THIS is what change looks like. not how colleen was claiming to have changed in her first apology. this is not the same trisha we all hated a couple years ago. she is mature. she has grown. she has grown so much stronger mentally it shows in her face. colleen looks like a child in her video, and trisha looks like an adult in this one. that dynamic is shocking but not unwelcome on trisha's behalf. this was a lovely video from her and i hope colleen can possibly take some insight from her maturity and ACTUALLY improve her behaviors, although i hope she has no opportunity to speak to children that are not her own again.

What terrifies me, and should scare most folks, is that all Colleen had to do was convince just ONE of these kids, who would do anything for her, to tell their parents that Trisha sent them the pictures. By the time law enforcement figured out the truth Trisha's entire life would've been destroyed. Absolutely no one would give her the benefit of the doubt. Child services would have removed her child so fast & they wouldn't care that law enforcement determined it was a lie, they'd still make her jump through hoops to get her child back. KZbin would yeet her channel. Her husband would've also faced the backlash on every level. Their families & neighbors too because internet trolls are relentless.
