Would you recommend this pattern for a confident beginner. I have the 1034D serger that your using. When finishing the hem did you set it so the machine wasn't cutting the fabric.may I ask the setting you used. You have wonderful designs.

Hi there - thank you for your kind words - yes, absolutely a confident beginner can sew this. There is a step by step written tutorial (with pictures) and also the video as you have seen. For the hem I used a coverstitch machine which is different from a serger - the coverstitch has just one job - to sew knit fabric hems. You could either use your serger to finish the raw edge and then just stitch a hem in with your home sewing machine, or you could get a twin needle to put in your home sewing machine which mimics the look of the coverstitch.
