I find dadaists endlessly amusing because they had such troll spirit, but, differently from modern trolls, deep down they cared deeply about what they created and the critique behind it all. I also have no doubt in my mind that dadaists would have been big fans of gen z humour

I really like Tristan Tzara, but I can't agree with him. I love common sense, reason, and logic. Even though he says he doesn't, to be honest, I don't believe him. Listen to how he talks. He's deliberate and intelligent, speaks rationally, writes a manifesto and then claims to be against manifestos. He's on about something else. He's not against manifestos, or he would not have bothered to write one.

I am still learning about Dadaism but to me, the Dadaists seem to poke fun at all things. They are artists yet deny art. If that isn't funny, I don't know what is.

Or Europe... do you mean in space or in time? Where was he in his life, or where was he was he in the development of his own (non) spot? Where in the timeline of the universe, the solar system, the pecking order at work or the shirking order at play? I could answer why tzara wrote this easier than where.

is this actually tristan tzara?
@dubitataugustinus9 жыл бұрын
No! he looks VERY different and his accent is VERY British. Everybody recalls that Tzara had a distinctive, thick Romanian accent. So, nope, is not him.

Looks similar to him, but not exact. He's just reading Tristan Tzara's words. In fact, I don't believe that bit about being against manifestos was actually Tristan Tzara, but another author in a book collaborated by several Dadaists.
