@fgrep15
@fgrep15 Жыл бұрын
Combine results are far less important in the NBA than for example the NFL. In the NBA it's all about functional athleticism which shows up in playing. Functional athleticism is important in the NFL too, but there's more of a desire for raw athletic ability as it's a different type of sport. In the NBA, they are really more concerned about things like standing reach and wingspan than about a guys numbers on these tests. It's still fun to have, but it's much less of a factor.

@@serpserpserp I don't know what his height is, is he 5'9? Sadly at that height in the NBA, you basically have to be an elite of the elite of athletes to get in. Just too hard on defense when you're that small in the NBA, especially now when everyone switch hunts, and it becomes a different beast when we're talking about finishing inside. Basketball is still a tall persons sport at the highest levels, better to be 6'5+ (better yet, 6'7+) and "not athletic" in the basic ways people think of (run fast, jump high), but athletic in the other ways, hand eye coordination, balance, change of direction, strength, etc than to be a super athletic 5'9 guy.
