Man i wish the 80he had this exact form factor minus the low profile part. The fact that they managed to get the length to only 1cm more than the wooting 60he despite being a 75% is so insanely impressive. A form factor like this but with like an additional 1cm of vertical height for a volume wheel at the top would be my perfect layout honestly

@@Frozoken I actually prefer TKL for the separated arrow keys but yeah this is a cool form factor for sure.
@Frozoken13 күн бұрын
@TristanPope i do like the exploded layout of tkl but i just think the 9 keys in the home cluster are redundant and you only need 4-7 of them because pause break doesn't even work now im pretty sure and scroll lock may not either. ins& pg up/down are also pretty niche

Do you not recommend getting the Canopus Shine through keycaps they have to offer? I was going to purchase because I liked the uniform look of it but may just go with the base version instead, also would you say the Jade Pro’s are significantly better to justify the $20 increase? Thanks!
@TristanPope17 күн бұрын
I can’t answer the second question. I haven’t tried their version of the jades. So I just don’t know. But the jade pro normal switches are amazing so if they are like that in comparison yes. The shine through are nice actually. I would recommend them.

This keyboard is legit my dream setup, but WHY no wireless?? 😩
@TristanPope17 күн бұрын
I know... it is a major drawback.
@Frozoken13 күн бұрын
I'll never get the appeal for wireless in boards. U lose performance, stability, you gotta charge it and it adds interferemce to your other wireless peripherals all for something you never need to move like wtf?
@TristanPope13 күн бұрын
@@Frozokenpeople move with low profile keyboards. Place them on top of their laptops and all sorts of other stuff remotes for a tv or console etc. very useful and wireless has gotten very good in terms of perceptible latency.
@Matt-gf4gd6 күн бұрын
@@Frozoken just nice to not have a wire running across your desk, but mostly I like to be able to recline sometimes with my feet up on my stool, keyboard in my lap and play games or even work like that. Hard to do that with a wired board.
@Matt-gf4gd6 күн бұрын
I don't think there's really hall effect wireless boards yet. I think it has to do with that magnetic hall effect. Also, it's an 8k hz poll rate board, which would be harder to do wirelessly and would also drain your battery really fast.

Thanks for reviewing this. I was just about get a wooting 60he or the 80he for the extra keys when using for coding and workflow. Was disappointed watching your first video on the 60he and felt pretty let down by a keyboard that I was otherwise excited for. Glad to see a lot of the issues being fixed on this new version, however. In my opinion, though, a low profile keyboard gets its title from the switches, and the 3.3mm travel was the biggest letdown for me. On Gateron's website, it is listed as 3.5mm travel which is different from the 3.3 listen on Nuphy's website. Would be nice to know the exact travel but a normal switch is 4.0mm so I think my fingers would be pleased either way. Nice to know that this keyboard might be worth going for again.
@TristanPope16 күн бұрын
The Jade pro normal and Jade pro low profile have the exact same travel distance. And to me as subjective as it is ruins low profile. But for those who don’t see low profile as distance this is a winner.
