I saw it happen in a tournament video. The guy did it to himself. He was applying a triangle choke, and instead of figure 4ing his leg that was over the back of the head and squeezing with his legs, he decided to use his hands. Grabbing his own shin with both hands just above the ankle, on the leg over the back of the neck and began violently pulling down on his leg snapping his own Tibia.

I know a guy who died tractioning his head using a similar device due to neck pain. There are a lot of nerves and blood vessels going through your neck adm just yanking on them doesn’t seem like it’s the best idea even if you get a temporary pin relief. You need Kompression / tension to decompress, pulling your spine apart using external equipment is not solving the root cause of a compressed spine.

I reffed a jiujitsu match before where an athlete was picked up in the air with a body lock and tried to base out on his foot to stop a takedown. Heard a really loud cracking sound and assumed from the angle the leg was in before they landed that it was likely an ACL tear or something. Nope, the medics said the shin bone had split fairly cleanly in two kind of like a tree split along its grain. Nasty stuff.

Time to learn MMA. Combine your blue belt BJJ skills and retool them so they work in MMA, learn striking and wrestling. You wont be bored cause its a whole new discipline with way more variety of techniques, and it allows you to still progress your BJJ and become way more effective in self defense too.

After hearing this, i think i need a new gym. Canceled my gym membership. I found out they were cyber stalking someone who they thought was me and that i was trash talking about choking out an instructor. I've never said any of the such and have had to endure their terrorism until I confronted them. Not one time did they ask me, they just made assumption and physically harassed me every chance they could get over someone's ego, about something that never happened.

This gym was Catalyst BJJ in Colorado. They are full of cyber stalking psychos, who can't even stalk properly. I'm not sure WHO they screenshotted saying they were a badass who cooked out an instructor but it wasn't me. And they terrorised me for months over some imaginary slight. So if you're in the area, you'll want to go somewhere else, childish to say the least.
