As of July 18, 2020 with this video being posted 3 years ago and over 6,000 views, I am so glad that no one has disliked this video. This has to be one of my favorite songs that remembers the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for this nation. Thank you soldier for singing this as well as Nathan Fair for the original. Keep on doing what the two of you are doing. Stay strong.

First of all I love Nathan Fairs songs. I know they come from the heart and I know it’s probably his way first of all to decompress and then the important thing to me at least is he through is writing is able to bring what is world what this country actually needs is to understand the sacrifice no matter what branch of service you’re in and no matter what you’re doing putting yourself in harms way it’s such a brave thing to do. I guess I’m getting a B in old fart but back in 1978 my dream was can you join the Air Force and fly F-14s which by the way was before top gun the movie. That it been my dream since I was like eight years old. I always wanted to serve and I have always had the upmost respect for any service member. I’ve made comments on my Facebook site four people that run into a fireman or policeman or service number that has their uniform. It’s probably been about two years now that I was at a steakhouse where I live in Port St. Lucie Florida and I noticed a service man that had two or three children and his wife and I went out to his table and I asked him if I could shake his hand. I think I blew him away but that’s just who I am I respect every service member and every police officer in Fireman. y’all just don’t get enough respect. Do you know when I interrupted that family it kind of broke my heart because I wanted to pay their tab but I just couldn’t afford it. But it still to this day bothers me. But back to you I’m glad you’re bringing this song to the forefront and I truly believe you have a great voice! I know sometimes it’s hard for a service member to write like Nathan has but with your talent and with your voice I plan on following you I want to hear you write your songs. America needs to know what it’s like to do your job. I wouldn’t care if your job was cleaning vehicles or if you are a mechanic but whenever you’re in harms way you deserve credit! So I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you man!!! And no I’m not gay I just think you’re a great person just hearing your music!!!

Hey man, I love your cover of this song. I've been looking around for a good cover and you've exceeded my expectations. I would like to thank you for your service, it's greatly appreciated. I'm 15 years of age currently and my goal is set for 11-Bravo in the United States Army. I plan on enlistment immediately following my High School graduation. I wish you luck, and once again, thank you. :)

Gabriel Trane This was before I got it! Sometimes it takes the National Guard longer than others to get their patches.

The Army buy's there patches 30 by the bulk from a supplier. There not going to pay for just a few soldiers. You have the option to wait until they get enough people in you're unit our you can purchase them yourself from a surpluse.

We only serve 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks a year every 3rd weekend of the month on Friday & Saturday for 40 hours our less. So everything comes at allot slower rate.
