I just wanted to say thank you for your videos, you and other content creators give me inner peace. To be able to practice this for free is amazing, if I had the means to pay for it I would. So thank you for making this available for those of us who would not have access to this otherwise.

Yeah, you just stand there like a statue & take all incoming blows. Don't be a tool! You crouch, tuck your chin, move your frame, move your body, etc. Also, if you listened to the audio, he is showing what you are most likely to encounter in the average street brawl, wild, flailing, wide shots directed at the head. Context dude!

Good video,I like that covering up frame,me personally the Muay Thai spear elbow is the best for them kind off punches,because your covering up while moving into them with the elbow to the nose,makes there punch less powerful and harder they punch more likely to break there nose,think that frame if get big heavy guy hit you with the hook even if blocked can knock you off balance

Hi I have question in this tecnique what would you do if he knee to your face
@tritacacademy7 жыл бұрын
We have a variety of knee defenses, including frames. You have to remember, we're not just "staying" in a frame during a fight. It's a small point in time. It's ignorant to think this is "all we do". TRITAC Martial Arts addresses all ranges of combat, and focuses heavily on defending unarmed and armed attacks.

Hi Soul Fighters, I enjoy your videos, thank you for sharing them. I have a question on "framing." I love to cover my head and hide behind my elbow, (left hand to the back of my skull, so my elbow points forward.) On your more advanced frame, you reach across with the other hand. I feel very uncomfortable with this, and I also feel my ribs are exposed. Is this normal? Did you experience some discomfort with the frame at first? Thanks again for the videos.
@tritacacademy7 жыл бұрын
+AKRON NEIJIA Club thanks for the feedback!!! Framing is very dynamic. There are many variations and applications within each Frame. There are "at least" 6 :) In regards to leaving your body exposed... If all you did was fight from a Frame, of course your body is exposed. But Frames are just a fraction of what we do. Also, we do use split frames to also defend the body. Yes, at the first frames are a bit awkward, but once you start playing with them, testing them, sparring with them, you quickly find their applications. If interested, check out a free course here: soulfighterstraining.com Thanks again for your feedback!!
@Sergiuss5556 жыл бұрын
looks a bit long to take this stance, did you try it when being punched with realistic speed? it should be particularly challenging to acquire a different stance for each arm the opponent is throwing at you. sure some slow drunken haymakers are easy to recognize in advance and intercept, but maybe not much more than that.
@alanwickman85584 жыл бұрын
I would agree. I have always's been taught that a good martial artist has .250 second to respond and neutralize the first attack. I have gone through multiple video reviews and it at times is hard pressed to create that time with space and execution. It may work with a pure street fight situation, but if one needs to create space and position then this would not be by first approach for neutralization. Purely my opinion. All that said I see value of this approach if one is in a close fighting situation. In the end one needs more tools in the toolbox to be successful.

You have some good ideas but overall I think you're over complicating things. It's well understood in combatives that action beats reaction so if your defence sequence takes longer than the initial attack it's unlikely to work under pressure.

Ridiculous. Anybody is just going shoot in to jam that dumb cover up and/or target the wide open body with strikes or a clinch. You make it easy for anybody to clinch you, punch the liver or stab you. Add to that the many drawbacks of high covers [ as opposed to contacting with a bridge ], such as giving no tactile sensitivity[!], reduced visual awareness, no control [!], very reduced space control [repulsion/reach], much slower and more telegraphed and limited in number offensive arm strikes, clamping your arms around your head is quite possibly one of the dumbest things you could do when attacked, unless you are stunned and can't think of anything else. Offensively it sucks, defensively it sucks.

+Chunda Chunda as we have said in many comments, both John and Mike have black belts in Keysi Fighting Method and Defence Lab. TRITAC is influenced by DL and Keysi, but is an entirely unique system. We incorporate a lot of Western Boxing, Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts, Silat, and Jiu-Jitsu. Framing is just one skillset in our system.... And if you actually listened to the whole video we credit Andy Norman for the concepts of Framing or Defence Lab shaping.

If I may chime in hear as one who doesn't "cuss"...if we refer to it in that fashion; at my job, I am surrounded by people who do, at my dojo...we have an instructor that does. If I spent ALL day telling those around me to "watch their mouths", simply because "I don't" do that, then I will quickly find myself losing friends, feeling unwelcome at the job or dojo, which in turn hurts production on either side and keeps things from getting done. Furthermore, in a self defense situation, I GUARANTEE YOU the attacker won't be watching his mouth. I can hear it now... "GIVE ME YOUR '----' WALLET!!!" "No! Not until you stop cussing." I am a very "G" or "PG" related family man, but if the motive here is to be a world changer, we'll never obtain that through self righteousness. I'm not trying to be mean, but helpful and realistic here. My instructor(sensei) may drop a few expletives during my training, but I'll still hug his neck and thank him for his gift of time at the end of the day. I don't cuss, but I'm not above him. I like what I'm learning on here👍
