You have to love the music they put in this video. Up beat and selling cars. What a time. My first car in 1974 was 1964 comet Caliente. Bought it from a family friend who was a body man and worked on car frames. This he bought new and in 1970 rebuilt and modified the 289 in it. It was a fun car to drive even with bias tires. This car with it 3 bedroom apartment trunk took me and friend on many hacking and sling trips.

This is quite an accomplishment. More should know about it. Thanks for posting this! Over 100 records broken!

Truly a great tribute to these cars, for anyone who owns one i would consider getting a cowl cover for it , the one weakness of 60's era Fords, Look on ebay under Mercury Comet cowl cover, they are cheap and they work, saves your car.

If they'd just had a set of valve springs in the car, they might have been able to get it changed and keep that fourth one in the running (assuming air to keep the valve up sans spring was allowable as a tool).

Loved my little 65 cyclone, only a code, but still was adequate in the mid and late 1960s, should have kept it, replaced it with a boss302 mustang which I still have.

The kids today frequently like to say how advanced car building has become, and how the old vehicles were primitive junk. Ha.

The junk built to-day would either have an airbag failure, or ignition switch failure, or the computer would burn out

@@HobbyOrganist nah, it’d be engineered to fail just outside of the warranty period. Long enough to get someone attached to their vehicle and invested in it monetarily.
