I think it looks amazing and it has cruise control. Cruise control is too often overlooked for such a simple tech; just makes riding boring straight roads that much better.

If it had just a little bit bigger tank I'd be up for it but living in the highlands that range could leave me stranded.

Same with the new Speedmaster. Old one had a 20+ litre tank, new one is something like 12. Not really that much of a tourer! They should have used the 900 and given it a decent tank.

Can't you swap out that 2.4 gallon tank for another (2016 and up) Triumph Bonneville tank? Aren't they interchangeable? Does anyone know?

Beautiful machine.... but still think the Indian scout bobber is one or two steps ahead.... Both top of the game machines though

I don't know. I like a better brake, but I much prefer the Khaki Green tank and the pipes on the regular Bobber - like the one you show in London. Though the rest being black-out looks great. Ehh, why can't we simply customize it the way we want it?

What about gearbox issues? Some say that is very often in BNonnevile family included T120 and T100 engine. Any information about it because official Triumph web side and dealers keeps shut.

With the bigger front tire, has the cornering clearance increased at all I wonder? Not that I would purchase this bike for the twisties, it does seem to lend itself to curvy roads. Just curious if there's a difference in clearance from last year's Bobber...

I wonder if fatter tires allow for a little more lean? Is adding dual disk brakes to the original bobber do able? I always see this bike scraping on videos and to me thats just a let down for the money I really don't want to have to think about scraping during turns , thats why I think of the thruxton but this bike seems to have a better riding position overall for what I would like, also this bike gets so much rave reviews but I wanna see a head to head vs the roadster which basically has the same horsepower and is much higher off the ground so I feel would take corners better but reviewers seem to shy away from that comparison

I thought this. Then I rode it home and was like holy shit this thing is shockingly comfortable. Now I upgraded the seat to a Corbin, and honestly it would be more comfortable than my BMW R1200RT if it had wind protection. I still actually can't believe how great it is... Four good bikes in my garage and it rocketed to the top of my preference of bike to take out.

@@daniellekoran7906 well, my experience is different. have about 400km on it now (2022 model) and find it very uncomfortable, way too hard suspension. almost starting to dislike the bike because of this.

After watching a lot of reviews and reading a lot of comments, I’m thinking the weight and height of the rider, as well was what they are used to riding, are the determining factors as to if they think it’s comfortable or not. The rear shock doesn’t have a lot of travel so if just sitting on it compresses it too much there isn’t enough left for bumps on the road. Then if the rider is too tall it will feel very cramped. I’m only 5’ 8” and ride a ninja zx-6r 636 and do long days in the saddle, so I’m used to wind, a stiff ride and a not so comfortable riding position. When I see this it looks like a comfy couch. But my friends that are on big cruisers and gold wings would not want to ride this for long. Which is why each rider should test ride one for themselves if they are considering buying one.

They made all the changes that channels like yours bitched and complained about, especially brakes. This bike is what it is. It's NOT a touring bike, It's NOT an ADV bike, it's NOT a crotch rocket so I wish so called pros would quit trying to compare it to other things. I love mine.

I dont really understand why moto journalists are saying that bobber handles really well, I have only tried out the org bobber but it did not convey a good feeling when taking corner after corner on a technical road as the rear wanted to snake itself, just like if you ride a bike with a old rear shock. I do like the fact that there are two discs up front now because the org bobber with only one disc felt underwhelming and dangerous. The new bonneville/thruxton r was also acclaimed for good and modern handling, but when I tried one out it was heavy, slow and did force one to work for it in the corners, ie nothing like a modern bike. So it feels like publications and journalist just want to make good PR for Triumph not be truthful about the bikes at all.
@mstoker5821
@mstoker5821 6 жыл бұрын
This is still a cruiser oriented motorcycle... It DOES handle very well in it's class... Nevertheless it's not a 400 lb sportbike built for cornering with the proper wheelbase, rake and suspension as such. It's perfectly acceptable to say it handles well for what it is.
@Pillokun
@Pillokun 6 жыл бұрын
Mm, sure it is a cruiser:ish bike, but it felt not modern and secure at all. And even if I did not flog the shit out of the bobber it still felt very sketchy compared to bikes such as HD V-rod and and other retro looking bikes.

You have to be kidding. I am just getting out of a V rod and onto a Bobber black. My NRS had $1100.00 Progressive shocks on the back and it still doesn't handle as well as this bike. The 240 rear is good for leaving ten bucks of rubber on the road behind you but no good for handling. I luv this bike
@Pillokun
@Pillokun 6 жыл бұрын
Why do I have to be kidding? You have read my description of what I think is wrong with the standard bobber. And even if it falls in to corners easier than a v-rod the hd have no such problems as the bobber seems to suffer from, it is more stable as it does not snake the rear under when you are "frisky" and it has better brakes. And the v-rod was a proper grin machine, the bobber feels boring and bland compared to a vrod when you twist the throttle.
