Yup, this is my next bike. I checked one out and simply fell in love with it. Everything about it is simply perfect! The Brits have done a wonderful job on this one...a great bike from Triumph. God bless... :)

Nice video and the paint scheme is awesome on the tank. It announces it is British but not overdone. I like the subtlety.

+Views from the Man Cave , Hello, i may well , although i only bought my cb 500x new 10 months ago ,bloomin triumph, tempting me like this , they should know better than to take advantage of a 56 year old , but i am sorely tempted, i saw it at the bike show on friday and knew i would have to give it a test ride , first time for 35 years i have ridden a triumph, it pulls so well , with a great clutch for someone who has fingers that dont work as well as they used to , i'm sure they will sell loads !!

Awesome review - short and sweet! Was wondering what performance related mods have you done to the bike since? Maybe a highflown air filter (snorkel removed) or a decal? Any comments on the performance improvements they've made? i've seen videos of people changing to another cam but that seems like quite q mechanical job.
@mancavemoto6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ryan, have a scan through my other videos you'll find plenty of content. I've fitted a Free Spirits x-pipe along with the Vance & Hines US spec exhaust and a remap. Sounds awesome, but probably only added a few more horses. I personally wouldn't go near a cam change, (unless it was a factory option) for a few reasons, but mainly because if someone is trying to wring loads more power out of the Street Twin, then they've bought the wrong bike. The beauty of the bike is its understressed, so will bimble around all day short shifting, but when you want to ride it hard, it really does feel like you are riding it hard. Lots and lots of fun

Views from the Man Cave , thank you for the response and your insights. Definitely agree with you about the fondamental reason of getting a ST. I’ll troll through your other videos and get some other tips. Love the content and look forward to your next upload!

Hi Tony : Love your new bike and what you have done with it. I am getting my new Street Twin in a week. Any thoughts on rear wheel and chain maintenance ? I know a centre stand is an available option, but I don't want to permanently mount a centre stand - mot with the extra weight and cornering limitations.
@mancavemoto8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Peter, it took a while for me to remember to think about the chain having had a shft drive previously. I just do the usual tension checks, then regrease after a wash. I use a dry lube, and just roll the bike along doing the chain a bit at a time....
@taxmanmotorcycles18 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the prompt response. I was hoping you might have a special trick up your sleeve to get that rear wheel off the ground.
@mancavemoto8 жыл бұрын
If you are feeling brave you can stand on the nearside and pull the back wheel off the ground on the side stand. This method is much easier if you have a helper. Alternatively a cheap mx pit stand would do the trick if you can find one low enough to go under the bike, or last resort would be a trolley jack and a piece of wood/rubber

Hey! This is an older video so not sure if you're reviewing comments, but question: How does the bike feel/work at highway speed and distance? Does the engine get vibey/frenetic feeling at a certain speed? So how is it above 60-65 etc miles per hour? I'm leaning toward the T120, obviously more power, bit more heft and bigger tank, but this is so cool and obviously great for city stuff. Thanks!
@mancavemoto6 жыл бұрын
It’s great, it’ll sit at 70-75 all day long, no vibe issues at all. It’s a nice relaxed ride
@ripmax3337 жыл бұрын
according to some triumph engineers the fins still aid in the cooling of the engine hence why the radiator is so small.
@mancavemoto7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ripmax333, I'm sure they do, and the rad is small and neat compared to other bikes, and it just wouldnt look like a Bonnie without them!
@ripmax3337 жыл бұрын
Well it all about opinions, to me what makes a bonnie is that unmistakable classic shape, if they made the engine without the fins and with a slightly bigger radiator i wouldn't mind at all. But to me that classic simple shape is just how a motorcycle should look like.

Hi I have a 2016 street twin and recently all the lights have come on on the speedo . I took it to triumph and they have said it's a fault with the wiring loom and they will be recalling all bikes . Have you heard this
@mancavemoto6 жыл бұрын
Yes, there has been a problem with some bikes having a loom that’s to short at the front end. It can either wear at the headstock, as as mine did pull a wire from the regulator.
@1969kingperry6 жыл бұрын
Views from the Man Cave did triumph fit a new loom as mine has to have a new loom . It's out of warranty but jack Lilly Romford said they will fit a new on free of charge

How did the seat height feel? I'm pushing 195cm so I'm a bit concerned about what I've heard is a rather low seat. Otherwise looks like a great bike.
@mancavemoto8 жыл бұрын
That's about 6ft 5 inches? If you have long legs that could be an issue. I'm 178cm tall (5ft 10ish) with a 32 inch inseam. I don't feel at all cramped, and have a nice flat foot when seated. I think the 'optional' flat seat that they fit to the scrambler and brat tracker kits sits a little higher. Best to try one out....
@gemcnulty8 жыл бұрын
+Views from the Man Cave Yep, and that's mostly in the legs unfortunately. But thanks for the tip! I may have to look into that flat seat when I visit the dealer then.

Is this good for a touring kind of bike? I live in the US, and I wonder if it handles well around 60-75 mph. (I have a 2010 street triple now). Thanks in advance!
@mancavemoto8 жыл бұрын
Hi, i don't see why not, it's got lots of torque so is great to short shift and bimble about. It will sit and cruise all day at those sort of speeds, that's right where it's happy. Triumph make a screen and panniers for it too. Maybe the only downside would be the size of the tank which isn't massive. It'll be less 'frantic' than the triple, which is still a cool bike.
@zzinin8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments! Really helps. I'm gonna head down to the dealer next week for a spin on this bike. Now my problem is, should I go for this, or wait for the Thruxton 1200... the racier model! haha

what a dilemma, Im not sure which bike to pick; this new bonnie, or the 883 Iron. I have always loved the look and the sound of the harley, but this kills the Iron by specs, handling, abs. Also its a light bike compared to the 883, this will fit me very nice as I am a short guy 1.66. The only thing I dislike this bike is the stock exhaust. nice review!
@mancavemoto8 жыл бұрын
Tough choice Aaron! The stock exhaust is easily and fairly cheaply changed. I'm hoping to review the Vance & Hines US spec exhausts soon. The Bonnie will handle better than the 883, but it depends on what sort of roads you will mostly on....but a v-twin does sound so good. What about the Indian Scout sixty, just to add some confusion to your choice! ;)
@aronchas8 жыл бұрын
+Views from the Man Cave Thanks, yeah. Im looking forward to check out your review of the V&H pipes. I want a bike for the road, and long trips without breaking the bank, me and my honey. A motorcycle I´d keep with me long time. The thing with the sportster is that is a very overrated bike, at least here in Mexico city you see a lot of posers with HD's, I have seen just one bonnie t100 in the streets in the past 3 years, and a lot of sportys. Im waiting the street twin and the 120 to arrive Mexico (june-july this year) and check them out, the prices and hop in to see if I like it. The Indian... well, maybe is too modern stylish for my taste :) Anyways, Im keeping my money in the meantime Subscribed!
@ripmax3338 жыл бұрын
damn I have the exact same dilemma!!! 883 or street Twin. I looked at a street Twin at the dealership and it's beautiful! like a good solid bike should look like. but the 883 is amazing as-well, the engine of the 883 looks gorgeous and sounds sweet, every cover including mudguards are metal on the 883 which gives it a certain appeal.
